We all die to stupid shit once in a while such as Desync's and more stupid shit the penalty is already great as it is like you would flood the forum to even more crying then usual.

Not really, people would stop playing and paying for the game. As it is now, we're getting a tiny slice of 'ragequitters' vying for attention. The ones you really need to worry about are the ones that stop playing the game and say nothing.
I'll use this topic to give my feedback about the xp penalty. As i wrote in another topic i think the penalty is not well implemented and balanced for the game like it is now. Best act map is level 63, the maps 70+ are rares and we got a level cap 100. So why having a flat 15% penalty for every level? I can understand if the act game ends at 80 with maps 85+ so you will still get a good exp even if you die and lose 15%. But right now is not balanced for me, something like losing % with a level range would be more balanced, example (merci diff)

55-70: 15%
71-80: 10%
81-90: 5%
91-100: 1%

Those are just examples, i would need to calculate the exp needed for levels to be more accurate.

Don't know if they ever wrote about this but i just can think since it's an OP the devs don't want that we focus on leveling 1 char (since hitting the cap looks almost impossible) and they prefer having us leveling different chars builds skills etc to have more feedback for the final release.

People choose Default for a reason ;)

As many people once said: at higher levels, default becomes like HC, or you won't progress.

Yup its obviously GGG's fault that you are bad. 10hours of EXP grind at level 70 should net you several level ups. It takes about 10-15 minutes to make 15% at level 70.

I died 3 times in the last 3 days at level 85 and still hit 86 the next day! The deaths were infinitely frustrating, but I am not going to blame GGG even if one of them was nasty desync... I still could have avoided it.

In summation. Get good, l2p, all that jazz. A death at level 85 for me was about 3-4 hours of solid grinding. If a death for you is 10 hours at level 70 just uninstall the game and do everyone a favor.

I completely disagree. 100%

At higher levels, default becomes more and more like HC, as it should be. Players who cannot progress due to constant death do not deserve to climb higher. I enjoy the current design, even though I play a character that is prone to death.

But to be honest, the desync problems in this game is pretty ridiculous. They really need to fix this ASAP.

Why shouldn't playing the hardest difficulty at the highest levels not be hard, even on default?

The death penalty actually has kept me playing back in closed beta, if I didn't hit that brick wall at a 100 mph on my first character and have to start a new one I wouldn't be here today, I would have gotten bored a long time ago
