Its 13 devs at launch not unlike PoE. There was a ton of duping and exploitation in the early days of PoE too with people exploiting the guild stash for mirrors.
ProbablyGettingNerfed - L100 Occultist
Vinktarded - L100 Pathfinder
GoogleDiversityHire - L100 Necromancer

3.13 was the pinnacle of PoE. IVYS+1 Gang 4 Life.

What economy? There's no meaningful trade going on and gold gives you little in game advantage. If they wiped now it or in the future it would have a far more detrimental effect in pissing off the players who hadn't already lost their progress due to bugs than having too much gold floating around.

Gold lets you have max level spells instantly in Wolcen, via buying spells from the shop and reselling them for that resource that lets you level up spells.

Does that matter? There's no competition, no leaderboards, no pvp etc. If someone exploited to get some max level spells it makes no difference to anybody else.

Wolcen's players in the 7 days since release have only dropped from 127K to 93.5k players. Those are substantially better retention rates for players than anything POE has ever seen.

Yeah, sure, because you remember how PoE retention looked like in its closed beta or 1.0 version...
Oh, wait, you didnt even play back then. LMAO.

PoE 7 years ago wasnt that great, be fair.

Tbh desync, rubberbanding, collisions, doorway issues, hit detection, nealry caused me to quit.

Seriously whirling blades, cyclone, etc...were totally unusable. Avoiding the Oversoul smash for example was a total crapshoot. You could be a mile away and die lol.

Lets take off the rose-colored glasses ok?

Who is talking whether it was good or not? We are talking about retention.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that game performance impacts retention

Nowadays? Yes? In 2011? Go play Diablo 2 now. It was thing that PoE was competing at the start.
In 2011 no one left the game because it had rubberbanding or other performance problems.
Played Wolcen for like 25 hours
Meh, nothing will be even close to Path Of Exile
PoE is king of ARPG
Can't for new League :> Escape from tarkov for now.

Is this just an anecdotal conclusion you leaped to?

I'm sure many people tried PoE and said "fuck this"

I rage quit many times hitting a damn stone with cyclone, or whirling blades/leap slam two or three times, only to be teleported back and die. On and on we could go.

Those issues 100% impacted my playtime.

I totally disagree that performance issues in 2011-2013 (and release) were irrelevant to whether or not people continued to play.

Edit: 2011 was closed access at the time so even then it's not a fair comparison. You played knowing it wasn't ready. 2013 is probably a better year to use.
