Wolcen overtook POE as the new number 1 arpg game on Steam (127k concurrent players at the moment)

I play on predictive mode all the time because my internet is ass (my ping is 11ms yet its terrible in lockstep), aside from very fast leap slam speeds, desync in predictive is barely existent. when they implemented lockstep, they found a lot of bugs with predictive. predictive is very, very solid now. trust me, as someone who played invasion and got downed by chaska rain more than once.

also, you saying poe had less content on release is just untrue. poe had more skills, bigger tree, more mob types, more maps, and 3 acts of story on official release.

I can't quantify how many skills poe had on release because I don't know what it released with, but Wolcen has HUNDREDS of skills, so that's a moot point of discussion. Yes, poe's tree is bigger, but it's only one content, same as wolcen's ringed tree. Wolcen also has 3 acts of story, and soon to be 5. Breaking down mob types is a pretty irrelevant topic as well, because all mob types fit into categories shared amongst both games. Maps, I will give you poe has more tilesets than wolcen, but at launch it still didn't have things like atziri, or shaper, or elder etc, it's still just open a portal and run it.

"Hundreds of skills"
you mean 40. There's 40 active skills. Now, if you count the runes as separate skills, that's like saying that adding a support gem to skill in PoE makes it a different skill.

I only include runes if they fundamentally change the skill's behaviour, for example the plagueburst rune that basically turns it into Chaos version of detonate dead for your minions. Every active skill in wolcen has at least 1 rune like that with some having 2 or 3.

Never claimed to have played it before the atlas. I openly admitted I joined in essence league, well after it was implemented. As to how I know it wasn't implemented prior, I have people in my guild who were here since closed beta, and I have their stories to go off of, not to mention gameplay videos and streams where people were waiting hours to log in because ggg borked something on the servers or where they simply knocked out a region entirely.

Maybe it's time to stop making assumptions based upon friends that apparently are lying to you about how PoE was before you joined. Oh wait, you actually went ahead and made even more random claims based on zero experience.

Like I said, I don't even care Wolcen had launch issues. Hell could even live with game breaking bugs (That PoE never had in this manor btw), but what I can't live with is their inability of creating an arpg that is balanced and secure. They have a skill tree, where half the nodes don't work or do something else then what is says. They released with a skill 100x more powerful then any other skill.

Wolcen is just a fast moneygrab with some fancy graphics. It's not even a proper game. I really don't know how anyone can defend that pile of garbage they came out as 'full game' with.

Dude (or dudette, I don't know your id status) GGG and PoE CONTINUOUSLY have skills that are 100x more powerful than other skills. That's part of their draw. The passive tree on Wolcen is largely fixed already. Bearing in mind Wolcen's online version is basically equivalent to PoE's standard, there's tons of duped items in poe and there's quite a few times GGG did immediate post league or even mid-league (on extremely rare occasion) passive tree changes because they borked something cause it either didn't work or worked too well. I've also directly experienced being "locked out" of PoE because GGG crashed their servers, were ddosed or lost a whole server cluster.

There is nothing even remotely close to the imbalance in wolcen from PoE. In wolcen you use a skill. In PoE it's never that simple.

Also I have never lost progression in PoE because of dev fuckups. Let alone that happening 2-3-4 times in a row. Some people had to restart from scratch multiple times. Some people were (maybe still are) locked out of the game for weeks because of a bug they couldn't fix. People were doing the end content right away because they fucked up on not only talent tree nodes, but a skill that is so ridiculous times better then anything else, it's retarded.

And yet you still have people like you defending them. Wolcen was and is a failure of a game. They will never go anywhere unless they fire 3/4 of their team.
Dude has 36 challenges and is talking about skills that are "100x more powerful than other skills".

Ok, buddy.
And PoE has the record again.
We did it, Reddit.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
