Petition/Request for GGG to show that they actually read the official forums and not just reddit

Just TRIED to make a thread on reddit about the potential gains of the fortify changes for abyssus, Berserker and all increased damage taken builds like Oros or Berserker aspect of carnage. Just showing the maths, nothing else.

Instantly downvoted by 3 mad juggers, I deleted it cause once it got the 2-3 downvotes in 5 minutes its ready for the dumpster anyway.

Sorry to hear you had a bad reception on Reddit simply trying to discuss something, The voting system truly does not when unmoderated allow for much real truth to spill out of a conversation when masses of people start jumping on the train.

Similar systems such as polls can be heavily abused as well but as a few have posted here in this thread there are ways to clean up the data GGG would receive from a poll system here on the official forums.

Account age, playtime, number of characters created and NUMEROUS other statistics they simply cannot get from reddit or anywhere else.

There are a lot of reasons why they don't post here very much and seem to be quite careful on what they do post about but below is as honest as i could personally be about that sort of stuff, I doubt it will make a difference but it is better to try and fail than regret not having done so.

Having this community's support is WORTH IT GGG, Don't let fear stop you from doing what is the right thing.. Do it on your own terms but do not hesitate to step out that doorway, We're right there waiting for you and the future that could be written is in your hands.

I made the same thread in the general discussion forum, most people dont care about it cause they dont play abyssus or whatever, thats fine.

But the fact that I lose my currency for credibility on reddit aka karma for caring, talking about and pointing out niche stuff is totally unacceptable.

Like there are people who care about this stuff, there are people who play abyssus or want to make fancy melee builds in 3.9.

I got a positive response in the general discussion forum while poe reddit treats me like the last rancid piece of shit for whatever reason.

So for me its really not hard choice to decide between the forum and reddit.

Is there still hope that there will be a response by GGG?
Or shall we abondon this sinking ship?

Some time ago I made a post how the existence of more then a single multiplier in the damage calculation at the same time causes the game to be nigh impossible to actually ever balance.

I made in-depth examples how extra damage and crit-multi in conjunction with some skills (Scourge Arrow for example) causes even issues with a 10% damage effectiveness.

The general answer was 'your point?' and 80 downvotes by the time I got back from my lunch, really great experience there... yeah.

Sadly not, there were several really nice studies about that. You see, every human has a fixed maximum IQ, which sadly determines the learning capability they have, as well as the ability to use their experiences to deduct further from them.
The base is 100, which is 50% of humanity. 20% change of that (so 80 or 120) is held by 10% of the population each.
And the lovely part... in america there was a study by the army which as an outcome had that there is not a SINGLE position they can give someone with an IQ of 87 or lower which won't be detrimental. Which means a good 15% of the worlds population is literally too dumb to do that.
Which put in relativity means if you're in a room with 100 people then 15 of those will be absolutely useless and not understand anything even remotely close to being useful.
On the other hand getting a PhD has been found out demands an IQ of around 120 and very rarely anyone with less gets one unless extremely dedicated.

Going by that one can fairly easily see why the 'mass' simply lacks the ability to see beyond the surface, which is a damn shame. And that's exactly what we see happening with systems like used in Reddit.

Yes, and that's exactly why the Forum should have a very big role, one which now sadly is pushed towards Reddit. The mentality of a forum doesn't allow such behavior as easily, it already takes care of those issues to a degree.

Reddit is a cesspool of degenerates and lowlife loser, no idea why anyone would ever take advice or criticism from them.

Maybe thats why the last patches were so fucking awful...

@Kulze agreed with reddit being cringe as fuck but I dont think its an IQ thing, its more like a character thing.

The basics for civil intercourse like the golden rule etc dont require 120 IQ to be fully understood. Even a lot pack living animals can do that eventhough they cant even process a complex language or basic arithmetics.

and @ everyone in general, Reddit has its place but so does the official forums, Reddit does give them data though i would agree that the opinions there may not really represent what would be good for this game and the same could be said about many threads here... But i would wager my account and everything on it that there are a lot more people here that care about this games future over their personal wants and needs.
