Because literally everyone who offers cheaper are price fixers and they don't actualy sell.

If there was an automated AH, the amount of sellers would multiply by at least 1000, probably more since the sales cost would go away.
The ones cheaper than you would not be price fixers, but just other players wanting to sell something similar to what you have, but since the number of buyers haven't increased at all, prices would rock-bottom. For anything but BiS items, they'd be just above vendor price as that would set the floor.

In essence, none of your comments show you have any actual knowledge about how an economy works with regard to buying and selling, and you voluntarily expose that with every comment... Well done :-)

Mate this is just bullshit, every word.

1. If trading becomes doable why the number of byers stay the same? Because you want it? Lol It will increase at least proportionally to the sellers. All those people who never trade cause they don't want to bother will trade.

2. Who said that sales cost would go away? AH can have it's fee, it depends on realisation, we speak of the idea not the exact application.

Price fixers on an auction house? What? Now you're back to talking about our current trading system. Dude… I guess this is one way to get nowhere.

I was talking about current system.

If it was AH i would buy underpriced item to use it, why the fuck should i sell it, i'm not some flipper scum.

Or if you are on choosing to sell cheaper or for higher price - popelar item sell out with huge speed, yesterday the cheapest 6L Lioneye's Vision was 150c, today it was 1.5 ex. If you are not severely overprice item you'll sell it if it's realy worth it.

Ahhh, so suddenly each player will need more than one piece of every equipment... That makes sense... NOT!
As said before, you keep demonstrating no knowledge of how trading works...

That's just setting the price floor. If there was no sales cost, everyone would just set their items just above the floor.

I want to help, but I don't see how I can put it in more simple words than Cyzax, without unintentionally sounding even more condescending… :/
Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more.

'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league.
Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave.
Problem of fake listing would go away with auction house, that's a fact.

Problem of monopolization of certain items would be amplified, that's also a fact.
I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.
I am not speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't get offended by things that have nothing to do with me.

3.13 was the golden age.

So what? I wasn't, and your post was clearly a response to mine. You quoted me!
So in other words, your post is nonsense, alright. I'll go ahead and ignore it then… :/

I swear this thread is getting weirder by the minute...

Dude, you're either trolling or just idk alternatively gifted.

There's a huge amount of players (~90% by the dev's data) that don't trade. At all. People have their own reasons for that, but most of them probably don't trade cause it's a mess right now. And most of these people will take part in trading if AH will be implemented. So your bullshit about x1000 sellers and the same amount of byers is just silly nonsence.

Popular rare items will stay popular and rare, no matter how many wasted minutes you need to spend to finally buy it.

That and being the solution to scamming forever are probably the only reasons I'd want an auction house. Unfortunately, those don't weigh up against what it would do to the game as a whole.

So why don't most players trade, they don't care about end-gear or because of shitty "hard" trade?

It's rhetorical question, I don't expect any sane answer anyway.

its an empty question. i dont expect any logical comments from you.
most players simply do not engage with trade because poe is mostly a solo game. they simply do not need that.
and i dont either. i dont sell many items in a trade league. i make my currency from services. and i dont buy items beside upgrading my character. by upgrading i mean getting the best dps dps thats all. i dont buy and sell for profit like many traders do.

thats a bad assumption and illogical guess.
no surprises here. i can predict your next comment. almost
it will be like
current trade system is bad and thats why people dont trade and they leave the game?
am i close?
