For starters, try giving 1 more chaos orb. When i trade for whatever, i scroll for a bit and start from there. I lose far less currency that way than i would lose by trying to save 1 chaos.

Trade is annoying but there are ways to lessen that annoyance.

Maybe you did just that but based on my experience, trying to buy the first result that's the cheapest, simply doesn't work. Whether it's sold or just scam, you would be more efficient if you scroll a bit and start from there.

You want map? Don't try to buy the 1 alch one, buy the 2 alch one instead.

That way, as the comrade said is not great, but not terrible.

Don't try to reason with this people. They want it ultra-cheap and ultra-fast and if they don't get their way, they will raise the pitchforks and march for New Zealand to put Chris' head on a stake.

No, I think "they" want it to simply work. Ultra-cheap and ultra-fast isn't dependent on those familiar with the concept of trade itself, but how good you are at taking advantage of those who aren't.

99% of my Currency Trades are made with Bots because they dominate the Currency Market.. so the Argument of "Bots will ruin everything" is invalid for the Currency market. Poemap.live is a very good Solution for the Map Trade Problem (if you are not using it.. you should).

The only Problem with Trading that isnt solved by some third party Programms or Websites is if you want to buy a Cheap Item and you have to whisper 50+ people (with payment offers 4x - 10x the listed Value because why not) to get said cheap Item... its annoying, its Frustrating and i generally dont want to waste 30 Minutes in my Hideout trying to get the 1 Item i need to fix my resists or get the dmg Boost i need to have a comfortable DPS level to tackle the next piece of content :P

How is it elitism to not know something? The time and stash space it takes to sell something could be spent farming for chaos in maps. I don't see how people justify the timesink for smaller purchases
