Your sarcasm doesn't address one simple fact.
In shop you can only list item that you have.
And once listed you can not deny a person its purchase.
Therefore it is impossible to fix prices.

PSO2 has player shop system.
And guess what, no bots, no price fixers, no time wasting sludging through AFKers and other BS.
So I speak from experience.

+1 for auction house.
It will instantly solve all the problems with bots, price fixers and scammers.

Buuut it will also hurt demand for stash tabs, it won't be happening.

Doubt trading is a big draw to get people to buy stashes.

Meanwhile, you need tabs for:
- Fossils
- Resonators
- Prophecies
- Superior Gems (for GCP)
- Vaal Gems (for collection and Vaal Orbs)
- Jewels you may or may not use
- Synthesis fractured items
- Excess uniques you plan to use for Mysterious Gift fodder or Loreweave
- "Dump" tab for quicker map/delve/temple runs
- Chaos vendor sets (if that's your thing)
- Regal vendor sets (if that's your thing)
- Outdated maps if you play standard

Bots and fixers inflate prices to a degree where you need so much currency your default storage can't hold all that you need.
Shop system would rectify this and in turn hurt tab sales.

I use the currency stash tab, and I've never once seen items cost so much that I need another tab to store the extra currency to buy them. :P

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

That's my point.
Try not using currency stash.
Like at all.
Only use default 4 tabs, and see how comfortable will be your journey through Wraeclast.
We all know it won't.

holy irony.

1. ACTUAL price fixing can happen with an AH (an AH would actually make it easier...)
2. you're just talking about fake listings.
3. bots would thrive

you (like 99% of those who play this, apparently) don't know what "price fixing" even means.

I have a strong feeling that it's you who doesn't understand what price fixing is and what bots in this game do.
It's not my job to educate you though.
And I already stated reason why GGG won't implement shop system, not because of your misconceptions.

irony overwhelming.

you backpedaled from bots to "price fixing"

BUT

you seriously think that "price fixing" means fake listings (ie: NOT trading).

it's so fucking ironic because this is nearly the OPPOSITE of what "price fixing" actually means.

hint: there's no collusion.

Bind the trading to a character you find in the Epilogue. There you can search, buy and offer items with a restricted amount of stash space. Means any bots would need to go through all the acts first before they can do those trades and GGG has full control on the inventory size for each player, so they can (somewhat) control how many items get on the market.

That would destroy bot mafia and plummet storage requirements for comfortable endgame.
Not gonna happen.
GGG wants you to hoard as much currency and as many items as you possibly can.

I'm pretty sure you start with enough points, as a new player, to buy a currency tab. If you don't spend it on said tab or extra tabs, I'm afraid that's on you. :P
