Why do people hate Synthesis?

Synthesis is another RACE LEAGUE. That says it all.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 |

Not hating it - just dont care about it.

it is not hating it, but not enjoying as much as other older leagues like incursion, delve or legacy league could. When the league started i thought it could be fun, but after some time and with the syndicate also gone to core, I felt like not be able to do all what comes to offer. Then the misbalanced syndi members killed me some times and I began to even play some standard, because also the drops for me in the league are not good, it is crap or nothing to use. Now at level 86 I also noticed it takes much longer for me than before to get to 90, because of not enjoying it.
For me the best solution would be get the betrayal unactive, so maybe i can enjoy again |

I hate it because it is untested. It is boring. It is too complicated, and not in a good way.
But mostly i hate it because it showed that GGG is not capable/willing to put out quality content. Feels almost like your GF cheated on you... |

I don't hate it, but design is flawed.
There is no any explanation from GGG or wiki how it works, but yet it designed in such a way that you cannot try and find out yourself because everything is decaying, has one use and so on. So every mistake will cost you a lot, sometimes the whole chain. They should explain it in details, maybe with some ingame guide, or make the league mechanics "run and try" friendly. For example I still have no idea, what is "planned fragment". Is it real or not? If I put it in chain and run and it turns out it is not, I'm screwed big time. So I don't Last edited by dima_dunedin#7869 on Mar 25, 2019, 2:30:03 AM

a new league every three month is a bad decision
for me new league every 4 month is a better choice.... more time for playing a league..more time for develop a good new league |

Pretty much the only thing memory nexus is good for is fat XP.
Once you don't want to level anymore it just feels really bad to do it |

Because it sucks. Simply sucks. It's boring, repetitive, unchallenging, unrewarding, most chore, most clunky league they've made so far. I thought syndicate was bad. I still think it is though. But back to synthesis, it's just bad. The whole decay thing is just a pain in the ass, sometimes you get stuck in it but mobs still hit you and you can't do anything. Sometimes you get absorbed right after entering a memory giving you no time to react. And the whole memory navigation is confusing. I have a feeling 99% of the players gave up on this league. They really should stop making this "thinking leagues", they make a fast paced game like poe then they try slow down everyone with some mini board games where u gotta sit and figure out wtf u re supposed to do next. If they want to slow down the game they should slow down the gameplay, the powercreep.

If GGG can't figure out what's wrong with the game from thousands of feedbacks - then may be PoE deserves to die.

When you delve you can spend all your sulpite, increase your sulpite cap and go back to your maps.
In nexus most of the time you cant spend all of your fragments and cant increase your fragments capacity. Your focus is divided between nexus and mapping. Oftenly after running few maps you realized you reach max number of fragments and you feel you have to do nexus. In nexus you realize that you cant reach your destination even though you have maz number of fragments bcs you lack of T shaped fragamnet. This is absolutely discouriging. Solution: ability to rotate fragments. ability delete spawned memory fragments on the nexus map. increase fragment cap. increase the reward of distant fragments. |
