Will there be a new atlas every league now?
I've decided to support others in trying out grim dawn recently, still hopping on standard to join my friend every now and again but I've lost the will to run maps because I'm just going to lose the work spreading elder shaper in a few months, there's no point. The time I spend in path now is just going to be wasted because I can't sit down and play 10 hours a day, well I could but I'm not going to, I work full time and have other stuff to do too. This issue is just absurd when there's such an easy solution if you have nothing to address the affects it has on standard don't fucking shuffle the atlas until you have a fix in place. Whatever I'm done. They've shown blatant disregard for standard and this issue when the community has so many ideas to fix it that are usable, they haven't even checked this thread with all the posts and they probably just won't listen. I'm done waiting around on them.
I'm moving on, if anyone wants to join someone in grim dawn, or other games. let me know, I haven't played much and its new to me but feel free to add me on steam https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198010865940 https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198010865940 Hit me up on steam if you want Last edited by TSA_Ryan#4780 on Mar 28, 2019, 12:25:44 AM

When are GGG going to say something about this issue that has been plaguing a large proportion of their playerbase. Are they really intending to carry on with this idea of "shuffling the atlas" every 3 months? without any regard for the large number of loyal players that don't want this huge disruption and annoyance!!!
@Bex: it is not just a mere inconvenience, it is a complete undermining of my enjoyment, a huge waste of the time I have invested into the game getting my map pool established, a huge waste of the currency I've spent buying maps from Zana and the currency spent on boosting the map drops from red maps. Every 3 months it seems GGG is prepared to throw nearly everything I have achieved in Standard SSF into the trash so I can start again. Can we please have a proper announcement from GGG on their fully considered position regarding maps and progress on the Atlas in standard? It is not just a storage problem, for new maps and old maps, it is a matter of wasting our time repeating stuff on the Atlas we've done many times before. Standard is supposed to be a permanent league and the progress we've made with regard to Shaper / Elder should not be reset at a whim. If you want to change the Atlas or individual maps for temporary leagues then there needs to be an acceptable system that preserves the progress of players that do not have the time or inclination to play in the temporary leagues but want to continue with their characters in Standard. |

" I thought, for at least a week and a half, that we'd hear something. That they would come out with a better stance on this than what we have been given by Chris in the podcast, and Bex's half hearted "We're sorry we screwed you over" post. But now? I'm not so sure. I'm actually more sure that they aren't going to do anything about it, than I am that they will bother. " I'm pretty sure that the silence is the official response. They aren't going to bother. " Supposed to be, yes. That's how it was billed in the way back times, when they started the leagues. But, as the problems that have plagued standard have mounted (the Map Stash tabs that wont disappear even when empty, the patch notes for betrayal that made reference to actually updating the maps for you, but then when I asked about that, it fell on deaf ears, and was explained by other players as a poor wording choice, to the shuffling of the Atlas again, to the forcing of Betrayal on the core of the game, without working to first make sure that their integration of the mechanics wasn't broken to the point that it was killing people, and on and on, they have demonstrated that they don't care about standard much. It only gets addressed if it actually impacts leagues. Because the long standing players, who have paid money for tabs, willingly, gleefully, acting as rampant collectors in their game, just don't matter as much as shoving untested, broken content out the door every few months. I'm here to the end of the league, but I'm already making plans to just move on to something else, and went back on my plan to purchase more stash tabs, so that I could really start hoarding things in Standard as I made my way through Red Content, to Shaper. I just can't be bothered to continue to support a game that is developed by a company so willing to ignore portions of their playerbase. But, since I just got done watching the Pax Premiere of Borderlands 3, PoE is going to have to fix this, or.... Instead of trying to play both, I'll just play one, and.... hint: It wont be the game that screwed me over. |

Obviously, they can't comment on this. It's part of their deal with their parent company. They likely saw a spike in income related to changing their atlas. So, players have to live with it. Your maps aren't as valuable as they were. You can find other things to measure worth.

" This isn't about value. This is about being able to play the game, at our pace, in the Standard, Permanent league. I shouldn't lose all my progress that I've built up to get to shaper, because they want to change something in another league. |

Standard has been the driving force of my purchases. I play league always for 4-6 weeks, and then kick it in std. I Care about standard and have 80+ tabs because I am a damn hoarder.
If they dont, which supposedly they will eventually, fix the map stash issue, then I am done with standard, and that will eventually lead to me being done with POE, which frankly I have been inching toward anyway. |

" You get that "progress" back by running a map. The maps you've accumulated lose much of their function and become a liability rather than an asset. That's a big change to adapt to. Huge change. They shouldn't have made it flippantly. There should be an explanation and a discussion as to how it affects players. There wont be either. |

" You get most of that progress back. In betrayal, it set me back a whole tier of Maps, plus all of the unique maps progress. Something I still hadn't recovered by the time Synthesis rolled around, and I lost 2/3 (at best) of the functionality of my Map Pool converting them. This last time around, even after converting all of my maps to Synthesis, I still have more betrayal singles left in my stash than I did new maps. That's simply not an acceptable decision. That's what this is about. And, if that's the way it's going to be going forward, I'm A-OK with moving on to another game. I'm not trying to rationalize their decision to screw over players every three months. These are the types of things that you figure out before you launch a massive feature overhaul, not after.
