I agree, after having to redo my maps twice in the past several weeks, I simply don't feel the urge to log on and play. My map collection got neutered (twice), I was at 157 completed, now something stupid like 20... this atlas resetting crap needs to stop.

I don't like synthesis either, so the remaining option is standard, where I COULD again work towards completing the atlas, but since it's going to be reset again and my map stash will filled up again with maps that have to be traded in after a couple months, I don't see the point.

I've started playing other games, if they don't come up with a GOOD solution for this, I'll simply keep playing those games instead of this one.

Please just stop resetting my atlas, especially if you want any more of my money.

I am motivated to play your game and to give you cash but only if i feel that you are giving me a fair and level playing field. Resetting my atlas and having me store maps outside my map stash OR unloading and converting my old maps is not optimising my play time. It is a chore and a a damn lousy one at that.

Find a solution quickly and I will get back to giving you cash, do nothing and I will spend my cash on Haribo, I am not even joking, I don't joke so much now that I am over 50yrs old.

This really needs to be addressed as i'm not going to do this every league, the more you play the more you are punished. Either make the map tabs go read only and give us new ones on league merger or make a new map selection in the map tab called dynamic which means the maps roll over the the new version when the atlas is updated that way people can keep their legacy maps by not selecting dynamic.

This is a simple and elegant solution: the code would already be written as they do that for people at the end of league anyway. Make our map tabs read only and make a fresh one for us to use for new map types.

Like others have said, it has taken me away from PoE. I use to play it heaps but haven't been playing it much lately at all. Also won't be buying any more stuff until this is fixed.

Yeah... this has been suggested here so many times already, and its a clear and simple solution... still they seem to just ignore it, why is beyond me.

How about making it more honest and giving us a choice?

What about if you "subscribe" for $10 per month you won't be screwed with? Let me have all the stash tabs I need. So I just get a new map tab every league in standard if I want. If I stop subscription then all my tabs go to remove-only.

I can confirm that I have been a 95% Standard player since day one of launch in 2013 with probably around 10k hours played. Since the Atlas shuffle a league ago I haven't spent any time playing in Standard and my eagerness to spend time playing POE has dwindled. Just played the previous league for a couple weeks and then moved onto other games. Will see how long this league holds me.

When will GGG staff address this more seriously than "I'll make sure the devs looks into it". I mean, this kind of issue is outright unacceptable to begin with. We bought the map stash tab to store maps. We shouldn't need to buy another map tab every league because GGG implements different "series". This is extremely unethical from a F2P game that base their monetization on mtxes. You shouldn't charge standard players for more because of the poor design of map series.

As a former D3 player, for every league that goes by, I start to see more similarities between Blizzard and GGG when it comes to addressing the concerns of the community. The community will be rough alot of the times, but that's because they want to keep GGG on point. Start doing shady business practices and people WILL pick on you for that. So, just don't do that.

Synthesis is pretty terrible. I'm 71, and I'm not even out of the Acts yet. I'm not going out of my way to do things, either. I simply do things when something is full.

I run Cavas when I see him. I don't go looking for him.
I run the Memories when I run out of space to hold more memories, and I never run it dry. 4-5, just to give myself some breathing room.

I Run Delve whenever I'm at full sulphite.

I run Jun when I run into him (and after not playing betrayal, wow... They should give you a little more info on the Betrayal missions before they just unleash them on you.

I definitely don't run Lab any more often than I need to for the Points.

At the rate I'm going, I'll be ~75 by the time I get Kitava down, and ready to start the grind to get Mapping.

There is just so much to do in the game right now that you lose focus. The normal Acts / Storylines? If you weren't required to do them, there is zero reason to do them right now, because everything else in the game consumes so much game time.

I would rather push Standard, and get to Shaper, but I just don't even know why I would try, knowing that I'm going to lose all of my Atlas progression, AGAIN, before I'm at a point where I feel like I'm "farming" shaper on 1 character.


Resetting Standard is antithetical to what the Standard League was designed to be, and to be clear, I completely understand why they are going to reset the Atlas consistently, for the League players.

I get it. I understand it. I don't have a problem with it.

But screwing over one portion of your player base, to appease another part of your player base is just not a promising business solution. There are simple, elegant solutions to this problem, and not addressing it outside of one patronizing forum post, and one BS podcast interview is not cutting it.

If I pushed a change like this in my business, and then didn't do anything to consistently communicate with my player base, I'd be fired.

Now, I get it. The past few days in NZ have been a nightmare, the likes of which, the country hasn't had to deal with. I'm ok with some silence while a nation mourns a tragedy. But man.... the rest of the silence has been pretty infuriating.
