nebuloch consecrated path jugg. all the content was new to me, havent played for years. with this i cleared all bosses except aul (didnt find one so far, at depth 400) and a few of the breachguys.

its slammy,melee, its fast and tanky as fuck. i leveled with TS and an oni so that was a breeze as well.

overall its obvious melee overall is at a disadvantage in this game. but there a are builds that do it well and are fun.

/edit you might want to help him with a bit of gear since you pretty much need quite some key uniques so it takes off. loreweave,xophs blood are expensive for a new char, endurance charge kaoms roots and a fortify corruption nebuloch help A TON.

I will admit that the reward for your card is ho hum, but the art is the single best of all the Div cards.

Help your dad build a duelist using cleave with blood explosions. He will enjoy it.

It's not an attack and it's not irrelevant. Every second post is I_NO on about something. Every post is laden with "I'm so pro and if I don't think it's good then it's dogshit." The card set has no value and it's item outcome has non either and I cannot even fathom why anyone would make a div set to yield a corrupted amulet of a specific base considering that the implicit that makes that base useful to a user gets overwritten by the corruption. If anything, it should have pushed for a double corruption and a good likelihood of it occurring on a unique base or a base that could have some unique mods. I understand this all happened before the double corruption was put into the game officially, but then pester GGG to update it.

Also, everyone calls melee dead in literally every game I play. Also, also, everyone calls melee dead because the majority of players regurgitate what everyone else is. And meta is zipping thru maps leaving 90% of the content behind to pick up fuses, 6S and chaos with the random div, unique or exalt. That's literally what the majority do, go on and on about how many mirrors they have and how many exalts they make an hour, farming the same dead content over and over. Then yeah, a ranger with 5000000000% movement seems amazing. And yeah I've seen that guy that cleared Uber Elder with a Ranger at level 36. One sliver of content.

And tbh, if it's said again and again, what's the fucking point. Like I said originally, this is posted ad nauseum. If melee is dead, then STFU and play a ranged hero. Either that or be constructive and make suggestions and maybe GGG will incorporate them. But no, let's all just be edgy and cool and make melee memes, that will work.

One melee skill that's viable? And which one is that? And viable for what?

I've seen people do just fine with any melee skill. Mathil even used arguably the worst out of them all on his champion, glacial hammer.

Sounds like you just don't know how to play a melee charachter no offence.

The problem with melee isn't JUST the lack of power, but that you HAVE to scale it through crit and/or conversion (and of course huge amounts of attack speed) for it to be viable, making every melee build not only feel the same, but gear the same.
