Dad wanted to play poe again ''I wanna be a badass melee user''

I mean.. is your dad going for guradians/shaper? If he's not, I think think most melee skills would work fine up to tier 11-12ish.
If he's going hard then yea MS jugg is probably the way to go^^

Melee is very good at single target and very bad at clearing other than tech slam. Defense is a crapshoot in a game this rippy even if youre a 200 exalt jugga.

An experienced player can kill all guardians and Shaper with fairly decent gear - with all melee skills there are. The problem with melee isn't guardians and Shaper. The problems with melee, are Uber Elder, clearing t15/16 maps with hard mods and - of course - the huge gap between melee (especially non-crit melee) and spells. Smack a spell on a stick? Well, it's in 9/10 scenarios better than 9/10 non-crit melee builds.

I made my comment under the assumtion her dad is not and experienced player, could be wrong.

Is he looking to do a real melee skill or is he ok with quasi-melee (stat says it's melee but it has a ranged component to it)? If he's ok with this then farm/buy an Oni-Goroshi and play a Tectonic Slam Jugg. He'll get to play "in your face" style on everything except some Syndicate encounters plus the fissures it makes are perfect for fast area clear. Loads of fun and Mathil's guide makes it easy.

Nah, I bet he's experienced. If he wasn't, he wouldn't pay for all of her supporter packs.

Make him play frostblades in a pseudo 6link glove with a 6link dual/double strike with claws. Moves fast, could use the extra chaining unique claws and realy gives a nice melee feel.

Otherwise make him go consecrated path. It feels and looks nice.

Well that's not entirely true. lgoh also works great with cleave/double strike.

yes it cost more to get into champions league,yes it is slightly slower in mapclear then few other things but its still strong lol
