Path of Exile, Gameplay Criticism

The mistake the latest posters are making is using the name of the person instead of the name of the game.

You're taking things to a personal level to a pointless end that if you were to get to, would change nothing of your character.

I'm probably not going to be popular for the weekend but it's best to tell the truth than run about the edges.
So many conspiracy theories about players quitting because of insignificant things like deaths and not the big ones like crappy trading and technical problems. For shame.

Just like everybody is entitled to their own opinion and preferred play style, so everybody is entitled to their own pet peeve :)

The question isn't whether some players are quitting because of the death penalty (after all, I did), but how many.
And you cant prove anything unless you contact them. I can claim those you listed left for different reasons. For example I left last league when I was level 99.5. You can easily go with the asspull that I did so because I got tired of dying and not reaching 100 but no, I didn't die a single time since I hit 98, I simply left out of boredom.

You see what you want to see.
Well, you can't really debate that 0% characters were left after a death. The player may be willing to come back to the character, but the gaming session was ended due to the death.
Don't be stupid, there are so many other possibilities. Maybe 97 was the moment their build was finished. Maybe they got bored and started another character or left the league but wanted to reach that milestone first. Maybe they decided to stop caring and equipped MF gear. So many maybes.

May sound ironic coming from me but you know nothing.
"Players who are at 0% ragequit due to death penalty"

That some solid ass logic right there brudda
Ok, my bad, you can debate it. People ending the game session at 0 XP to the next level definitely usually happens outside of the character dying.

Here's to showing the honesty in the debate. -_-
You want logic, huh? Here is some for you.

You used players level 97. Reaching that level means they knew what they were doing, right? So how come its logical to assume that once they reached this level they all decided to quit playing because they were dying so much, something they did not suffer from during the leveling from 95->96 and 96->97? How come this is the logical conclusion you came up with? What unnatural events happened to them to make them die so much they couldn't even acquire 1% towards 98 and rage quitted?

See, like I said, an asspull.
