its a melee skill because the DEVS said its a melee skill
they designed it to hit more than one enemy at a time

Apparently Lightning Strike, Ground Slam, Cleave, and Leap Slam aren't AoE since they extend past the range of my pixel sword, what does that leave?

Let's just throw in Sweep since it aesthetically looks like it's extending past the range of my fucking pixel mace too.

You guys are all acting as if he started with the AoE increase on Cleave. He is playing solo-only, self-found items. He only recently put the added range support gem on his cleave.
