The chaos Recipe change and It's effect on the economy

So instead of actually fixing the issue at it's core GGG throws another bandage on the problem.

I'm starting to wonder what kind of time table we are looking at before all the bandaged covered issues become rotten and festered and bleed through and destroy the game.

Everyones freaking out over this but I think a lot of you guys are not looking at the big picture, this could now be a way for you to obtain other kind of orbs in a bit more sane manner.

Take chance orbs, fairly low valued according to poeex, lets look at the recipes for it shall we?

Option 1:

Orb of Chance x1

All must have the same name:
item (rare) x2

Ok thats kind of a pain in the ass. That means you will have to essentially have a metric ton of bagspace to keep and store every rare you come across. 0_o for a single orb of chance? Thats a bit much dont you think?

Then we have option 2:

Orb of Chance x5

All must be of the same base item type (e.g., Coral Ring):
item (normal) x1
item (magic) x1
item (rare) x1
item (unique) x1

Really, whos going to blow a unique for 5 orbs of chance? Orbs of chance to chaos are now at 8:1 ratio, youre not even getting a whole chaos back for destroying that unique.

Plus you have other currencies that we dont have a recipe for like fusings, regrets or scourings. What if now instead of just chaos chaos chaos all day long you could essentially turn in rare unIDed sets to the vendor for a few fusings or some scourings?

Yeah I'm kinda sad I traded all mine for chance and scourings because I'm trying to chance a lioneyes glare...

I could have saved them up and gotten even more chance and scours...

Oh well, come summer break once classes are over its on.

Wow... either people have very low IQs or are always on their periods.

I am a solo player and I think this change is great!

I normally farm maps solo and turn in full sets of rares so now I can get chaos to regals for turning in unuseable rares.

However how is this a bandaid fix? This is a great change for the long run. It didn't make sense that low level content can get such a huge income stream.

Also multiboxing, the thing is, everyone multi boxed with level 1 alts. In order to get to cruel, you need to be at least level 20... so someone needs to level 5 alts to level 20... and min level for merciless is leve 40 or 50 I believe. Also it is not viable to multibox farm merivel, vaal on merciless because with all the weak rarity gear, you have a good chance of dying... that and 250% more hp merciless bosses take forever to kill as a solo player dpsing in rarity gear.

Anyways from a player capable of critical thinking and not prone to knee jerk reactions fueled from hormonal driven emotions... GREAT JOB GGG, I couldn't have thought of a better solution myself!

All that was needed to fix this issue was /player x, and an increased drop rate on rare jewelry and belts.

Don't blame multiclient players which is just a work around for solo players getting much reduced drops compared to groups.

Put in /player x and then no one will ever multi box again. Even with this recipe change, people are still going to multibox for the increased quantity.

I prefer this change too. I would prefer chance orbs to be a lot easier to get, and chaoses rarer.

You should be able to easilly gather chance orbs and burn them away trying to get rates or uniques instead of spamming chaoses on the same item.
