Well, this is kind of bullshit, you couldn't come up with a better way to nerf this? I used this recipe all the time, and I don't multi-client. Once again, exploiters ruining the fun for the solo players. Thanks.

If you don't multiclient, what's stopping you from farming rares in cruel or higher?

Far from being a nerf I'd say this could be more of a buff if you're clever about how it will work.

The rate of return may be lower on average for low level items.

Hale together a bunch of 6 mod rares = pawn to vendor = 1.5 gcp profit.

Main reason of me raging right now that they dont explain what new recipe will be...

Not gonna make any difference if the rares are 6-mod or not. It's based on item level. You can have the crappiest possible rare drop from a lvl 75 map and that's going to trigger the higher type of reward... even if the rare is still a Shabby Jerkin. And the 3 Regal Orbs are still going to be reserved for unidentified only.

I'll smash your nose with 20 Alterations before I'll sell them for 1 lousy Chaos. 16:1. No questions.

The way I understood it is that the recipe stays the same, but the reward scales off of the average ilvl of the items you put in.

So while you were able to get 2 chaos orbs for your set of low level a1 norm rares before you may now only get some chance orbs. On the other hand, if you turn in a set of unid'd rares that are like ilvl 75 you might get three regals for it if you up their quality as well.

Something like that. Basically making farming low level rares solely to turn them into chaos orbs no longer possible as it was too easy, especially in combination with multiclienting.

Recipes were not disclosed in the past. They have all been worked out by players, and shared in threads and the wiki. They are never actually stated by GGG. It's supposed to be fun, try to be the first to work out the new system!

This, so many times this. All the great resources regarding recipes, mechanics, skill levels, gear...they're all player-found. That is the sort of gamer GGG made this game for, ultimately -- the autodidact, the explorer, the discoverer. The creator of builds. The gear-junkie.

...Thankfully for the rest of us plebs such people tend to post their findings. :)

I can guarantee there will be recipes in the future that won't be disclosed and players will have to find them...

...if there aren't already some still waiting to be found. ^_^
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

I think this is a good idea. it was too easy to just steam roll normal with iir n get chaos out the ass for nothing.

Only problem was jewelery n belts.

But. Only time will tell as to how this works out.

if receipts depends on ilvl, than i hope they will shown the ilvl direct on the gear. if you have much in your stash, it needs time to check all items what ilvl this have. and you have to write down, because if you hold this, in a week you don't know what ilvl this was and again you have to check...
