The chaos Recipe change and It's effect on the economy

"
if receipts depends on ilvl, than i hope they will shown the ilvl direct on the gear. if you have much in your stash, it needs time to check all items what ilvl this have. and you have to write down, because if you hold this, in a week you don't know what ilvl this was and again you have to check...

yes please at least make a short cut like hold CTRL+SHIFT to show itemlevel or something.
Atm, it is very hard to keep a track of the itemlevel of items, maybe its not a problem for the majority, thats why nothing has been done yet.

As a solo-player with 150% iir I get 4 rares on average from normal Merveil. That equals around 1.5 Alteration orbs per run. Therefor I have to run Merveil 11 times on average to create the value of 2 Fusings which you can trade in for a Chaos (Vendor rate: 16 Alteration = 8 Jewelers = 2 Fusings) just from vendoring rares.

!

Explain to me how 4 rares = 1.5 Alterations? I would estimate that an average rare is worth 4 alteration shards. 4 x 4 = 16 shards = .8 Alteration orbs per run. Am i missing something?

Thk Cap. I know about this, and i doing it my-self ( just with 1 window ).
For me its the only way to efficiently farm Fusing orbs. Yes Fusing Orbs. Now i will eventually run out of all currency cause i will be unable to buy scrolls of wisdom, and all this because of retarded fusing system.

And here I am with 9 full stacks of wisdom scrolls (no joke) and like only 5 alchs...
ITT: multi-boxers trying to get the change reverted with hyperbole.

The change was needed.

Maybe we just experience different kinds of drops, I don´t know. That estimation was just based on my experience through the last days when I started to pay closer attention to the average number of alts I get per run.
Maybe it is lower than my estimation. In that case my sample size was simply too small ;)

But even if your estimation is closer to the truth:
Soloplayer: 0.8 Alt per run (4 rares)
Multiclient: 2 Alt per run (10 rares)

conclusion: Soloplayer needs to run 2.5 times as fast as the multiclient-user. Seriously?

Stashing and loading screens included I take about 2min on a fast Merveil-run with optimal map, so a multiclient user has 5 minutes with a perfect map just to be as effective as I am? That is... yeah... I don´t know how to put it.
Hold on to yer shite load o´ bloody barnacles on me arse-cockles, me hearty!

Just FYI, with full party multi-box I was getting an average of 17 rares per Normal Merviel kill. (had about 18% chance of unique per run as well)

And I think your estimation must be off, because for 4 rares to equal 1.5 Alt orbs, you'd need on average 7.5 shards per rare. If you look at the wiki for vendor recipes, that just doesn't happen.

Your point of multiclient vs solo still stands. I just wanted to correct a bit of math :)
I personally like this change. The economy is so saturated with Chaos Orbs it's ridiculous, everyone pays with them, everyone does currency exchange with them - you can't get away from them.

I'll stick to my 3-name rare matching.

This so much.
Who cares? After the krip vid everyone and their mother is trying to get chance/scouring. I wouldnt be surprised that farming normal bosses becomes even MORE lucrative as chance orbs are in such high demand.
