No more that a single account can do with portal scrolls. Actually less because they have to waste time with getting all 5 accounts to and from the areas in between resets. Blue items also sell for alteration shards, and inventory space is too limited. Multiboxing is done to boost drops on items that people are looking for themselves and on the orbs themselves dropping.

Stop overlooking that multiboxing isn't the fault for this, but GGGs group quantity scalping and refusal to implement /player x.

You know this could easily be fixed by removing the FFA loot mechanic and give everyone their own set of drops. But no one wants to hear that.

If you make it so that its easy to ninja items from other players that might not have the runspeed you do or low latency you do you cant really act shocked that players are opting to multibox in leiu of partying up.

Yes there are some that are going to multibox just to farm currency. Im pretty sure a large number of multiboxers are doing it because like myself they are sick and tired of losing out on gear because someone ran ahead and 4 shot an elite mob

If players are using technology to circumvent one of your game mechanics, it might be time to rethink the wisdom in that game mechanic.

Theres no way GGG is going to be able to fix this to a degree where it wont be worth a multiboxers time. As you guys can see here, any "fix" they do to deincentivise multibox users is going to effect everyone. They are in essense cutting their own nose to spite their face.

Not much.

Equip 100% quantity and 300% rarity gear like anyone else can do, and farm Hillock in <1 minute runs.

Multiboxers won't be able to compete with how fast you get yelllows this way. There's no excuse to why single accounts can't aquire items to sell for trans orbs, you can do this all day long everyday. The only reason why some people are so much richer than you is because they farm and trade a lot lot more.

I feel like grouping makes them game too easy as is.
Rewarding people for easier gameplay seems illogical.
If a cruel individual like me were to have design control, I would not offer any bonus of any kind to groups. No extra experience. No extra item drops or rarity. In fact, I think I would even penalize groups beyond the extra monster health (which doesn't do much in terms of increasing difficulty - it just makes killing things take slightly longer). Extra items per group member? Nay, -10% drop quantity per player and 10% chance to be immune to random element or physical damage per player :)

so I just farm rare rings and ammys in normal and then farm all armor weps in cruel to balance out the chaos recipe?

I just see so much whining on this thread....

I've done hour-long Merveil N A1 runs (solo) and received *no* Rings. I've also done such runs and received 6 or more rings. RNG be damned.

Still got 60+ Alts though, which sell just fine for a little more than a gcp, a few chaos, or can be made into fusings (which in turn are easy to trade to alchs).

This isn't going to change the runs. This is only going to make Chaos a little more rare. Fine. I don't mind that at all.
