Don't nerf Syndicate encounters

GGG should revolve the game around hardcore concepts and allow SC to adapt -- because HC has everything to lose where SC keeps going.

This leads to superior game design, I agree, but it also requires a tighter and more thorough QA team. And...

It should be difficult toward the end game because that's where people expect to die. It shouldn't be a problem to learn the league content while leveling to end game -- but oddly Betrayal bosses deal loads of damage early on. I believe the damage multiplies due to boss items, boss ranks, boss damage taken. Suddenly they're critting you for all of your hp. There wasn't a proper beta test of the league content before release, and technically everyone playing at this time is testing what will later be adapted into a small portion of the overall game.

...this has sadly been the case for a few years now. GGG was never renowned for putting out a highly polished product--they were always more interested in pushing the envelope, and I can respect that as a strategy--but since about 2015 their QA game has gone well into the toilet. It is a fairly consistent complaint on these forums.

On-topic: I died today to a Syndicate encounter for the first time since the league began, so they are certainly still challenging, if you let them rank up. Anyhow, keep in mind that some of the "nerfs" were actually the removal of excessive onscreen spam, which is a not a nerf of legitimate challenge but rather of cheese.

Dying to onscreen spam (or any other kind of cheese) is not a challenge. It's simply annoying.

I kind of thought that you would keep going with the same strawman again hahaha.

Which will come first: Fruz finishing the campaign, or Fruz understanding what a strawman is?

After all these pages, you are still not able to understand why that is completely irrelevant to everything I've said on this thread.

The fact that you have played 0 (zero [none]) maps in this league is "completely irrelevant" to you voicing your strong opinion on Syndicate activity on maps?

I agree, Kitava is not that hard. What are you waiting for?

It isn't rocket sience, it does not take a genius to get that, just ... a littlebit of reading ... and using one's brain without blinders I guess.

Blah-blah, how about actually playing the game, so you have first-hand experience about what you are talking about, and not just reciting others' opinions?

Not to mention the numerous times your arguments fell short in this thread, ie. when talking about hc streamers doing syndicate content no problem, and you did not even know that many of them used the research lab trick to skip them. I guess it is rocket-science for you, huh?

I know that it'seasier to beat strawman rather than actually answering to people / participate to a discussiion.

I know it's easier to troll here instead of finishing Act 10 Kitava. And the audacity of yours to expect people to not to laugh at you given the circumstances? Amazing. The disparity between your ego (hint: big) and what you've accomplished this season (hint: nothing) is truly ironic.

Cant believe that people can still be this stupid. If the game has no skill as you say and is a simple grind why are you complaining that its hard?

By this people's definitions getting knowledgeable about the game isn't a good thing because only 'nerds' have time to do this. Therefore, more time and money you spend on the game - less your opinion matters. Generalization of people by term 'nerd' also reeks of 'empathy' but whatever. If someone can beat 10 acts in less than half of the time he used to its not a skill, just grind. If someone can amass a lot of currency in short time it is not skill, he was just playing like a 'nerd'. If someone can read layouts fast and without fail he's probably not have any skills while being miserable neckbeard. No skill in this game, yes.

In a real PvP game they wouldn't survive and would get laughed by the rest but since this is PvE they get to have their say unfortunately.

There's a reason why they're here and not in a real pvp game you know ^^
8.3k HP one-shot by Vagan in a T14 with only one damage mod (added lightning) after the adjustments GGG made.

Betrayal syndicate members will remain in the Research Lab for me. The reward for fighting these guys is not going to worth a random RIP at lvl95+ unless you care more about economy instead of leveling.

that one seem a bit retarded, he likely got crit by Vagan with a more phys dmg aura, we don't know Vagan's rank neither the items, and if the player has shock immunity for Vinktar though, so can't fully judge.

I guess what really isn't rocket Science to me can be challenging to you ?
At least it is somewhat entertaining, it's likely going to get boring quickly though.

SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

These were his defenses (and 8.3k hp). More than most would have I'd say and he is a HC player who made it to T14 so more defensive mindset than SC players. All 5 flasks were up too so he would have been shock immune.

extra lightning map with purity of lightning/vinktar up, basalt + double phys taken as ele helmet + 2 end charges (39% phys mit) up. originally I thought it was nullifier, then I saw that he decided to bring in a sub phys aura buddy at the last minute :(
hits harder than shaper slam and less visible btw t14 map content btw

The guy in the video has no clue what he does he didnt kill the adds that have auras and got killed by the buffed syndicate members. This is 100% his fault for not wanting to learn or understanding game mechanics. He didnt even try to kill the totems inside first which makes engaging completly pointless because the syndicate will constantly port in and out of the fort.

Open the door of the syndicate which should even bevor the patch take you a second max, throw a frostbomb or something similar inside to kill all totems and than position yourself a bit further away to shot all the members that rush out.

Technically true, because if you never finish the campaign, you can never meet Syndicate on map tier difficulty, so it will never be challenging to you. You can never fail at something you never even dare to attempt to try.

Fruz is the embodiment of that footballer who used to play in some county level division, but got injured, and now he is giving advice about Champions League matches. "Just shoot the ball into the net lol!"

I guess some people don't take it too well when their skills fade into obscurity, and all that remains is complain about complainers in a league where he couldn't even finish the campaign. You know how this will be after 2 or 3 leagues: he won't even play anymore so he can transition into a full time troll, and utilize quotes like "Son, I've played enough back in the day to know..." and regurgitating classics like "I saw two streamers who..."

By that time the wikipedia page for strawman will have an added section of Fruz's interpretation of this expression, and it will need to be changed daily, because Fruz will still keep forgetting what he thinks that expression means exactly, so after each reply of his, it will change a little bit.

Honestly, the only way Fruz makes sense to me if he is a 50+ years old dude, who is long past giving a damn about anything, and he is just taking the piss here to entertain himself and wind up us younglings and yound adults. I wouldn't blame him then, because at that age, I'd probably enjoy trolling online more than finishing the campaign to actually know what I'm talking about.
