Don't nerf Syndicate encounters
A challenging game keeps you on your toes all the time. With the current content its: clear screen clear screen clear screen, oh shit league content, 3 minutes later clear screen clear screen clear screen.
I would be all for it if they are not nerfed and mapping is slowed down to also allow some degree of challenge. But as it stands, to me the syndicate encounters are just too out-of-place with their current intensity. “We are the race of flesh, We are the race of lovers.” Last edited by Frostride#6705 on Dec 12, 2018, 2:46:38 AM

" Agreed. That said, I still do enjoy the encounters. Its nice to have challenging content back in the game, although it feels kinda out of touch with the rest of the game at this point. I cant really comment on difficulty, because I barely reached red maps. Up to this point its all fine and manageable, but it might spiral out of control in high tier maps with nasty mods. If GGG feels the need to tune down Syndicate members, please dont overnerf them. I like it a lot as is. Probably just because its a nice change of pace and I actually have to think instead of blowing up the entire screen. Might get old soon. We´ll see, but right now Im having a blast and I do enjoy the fights a lot. Cheers |

Would reducing their shiny effects and screen clutter be considered a nerf? I mean it'll help people kill them easier by removing some of the stuttering and screen freezes so it might be............

When a random encounter is more "challenging" (i mean random oneshot out of nowhere) than an act boss then it is overtuned, out of question. When like 90% of the feedbacks are pointing this same thing out then im absolutely sure that the bosses are overtuned and will absolutely do not care about your gazillion dps 0,1% of the playerbase build who can do it without problems i would nerf them.

There is a large difference between challenging, and unavoidable one-shots out of no where. I am playing a high life defensive minion build. Currently 6740 life. When I cant see ANYTHING happening with pew pew lazers zomg everywhere adn then some dude just leap slam one shots me in a T10, that isnt "challenging" that is unplayable.
Challenge us with difficult mechanics that take time to learn. Cool. But yea, the damage and eye cancer, in particular on fortifications is out of hand. |

" How do you explain that there are HC streamers interacting with the Betrayal content in HC, at level 95+ already ? SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Dec 12, 2018, 9:16:05 AM

yes balance them since they show up in every god damn map, and I want to be able to experience the league content at least to a degree. Dont make them a pushover tho, but they need a slight nudge as they are currently ridiculous.
Your numbers will tell you this: i bet the majority are avoiding them completely at higher tier maps. |

" The top % should not reflect on the whole playerbase. That is a needlessly elitist approach. It's truly off-putting how some people want to force this down on others, and it just leaves a bad taste in people's mouth. I absolutely don't understand what the elitist people gain by people getting slaughtered around level 40 by Janus and/or It. Does that make them feel good, because it's not their 10th league with the most cookie cutter build out there with the most optimized playstyle? Syndicate right now - for many of us - is just checking how much we enjoy the other content. I personally love mapping, love doing Delves and it's my first encounter with Incursions, so I love them too. I'm still a Breach sucker as well. To me, it's still worth it, but I can totally get why others would want to quit when the new league mechanic is trying to put you off as much as possible. But hey, the top guys are fine, so shhh. |

"death is a learning experience"
Yeah, you know what I have learned? The Syndicate fort encounters are overtuned because of the sheer mass of adds and spell effects. Fighting forts for me is like watching a sped-up representation of WWII eastern front - withdraw, slowly advance, withdraw, advance, risky thrust to finish off the door and hope I don't die in the soup of effects. And then die in the Russian winter. Wait........ I have also learned that Haku is a beast and his tiny, hard to see wind-up slam covers 2/3 of my screen and if I have any other mobs hitting me at the time I am deaded. I have also learned that it is wise to kick Tora from your Syndicate as soon as you can because she can kill you from off screen with alacrity. All these issues are insipid and, sure, if I have spent exalts min/maxing on my 0.5 MMdps AOE build here in the first week of a league, they are but speedbumps in the road. But look outside your 1% box for a moment and realize that that is not, and should not be, the average experience in this game. Don't misunderstand me, I am not looking to casualize this game, I am far from a casual, but frustrating design is frustrating. Last edited by Slaanesh69#4492 on Dec 12, 2018, 10:29:44 AM

" I do not know if you miss the point or just missunderstood, but this is just irrelevant here and does not answer the question at all. ( It has of course nothing to do with lvl 40 players either ). SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Dec 12, 2018, 11:52:52 AM
