If this can be customized along with the overlay loot icons then I guess I can't make too much of a fuss over it. I still see myself turning 'em off.

Will there be transparency as this would be good for things that are useful but low value.

Please make these able to be turned off in some sort of toggle because they look tacky AF and remind me of D3. and we all know how bad that game is.

its a loot filter option, you wont need to turn them off, if you want them you will need to turn them on by editing your loot filter to include them.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

At this point I'm pretty sure the comments about making it optional are just trolls.
