Tencent has Invested in Grinding Gear Games

sorry to hear. I liked supporting Grinding Gear Games, knowing the money got directly to the awesome ppl creating this game.

but first the razor footprints
second garena
third xbox
now selling to Tencent

that's not really stuff I want to support.
here since closed beta ... worst news i have read so far from GGG.

R.I.P. PoE
I am not that optimistic about that.

Wont buy any more supporter packs, beside that, they dont need my money anymore.

Now the first time people can say to me: Free game no bitching, because I will become one of you leechers. LOL...
Lol.

Chris, stop answering FAQs like you have a say in any of it. You no longer control the company or the direction.

So glad I decided to stop supporting after the Abyss/Bestiary disaster. This just made it even easier.

My future $ would go to China?

How many products that are made in China do you think you buy on a monthly basis?
Did you ever check?

HAHAHAHAH

It seems 99% of people here don't know yet that anything they buy this days they are ALREADY sending money to China.

You know that there are many people in here, that are buying almost nothing out of China? You know that there exist some people who try to buy locally as good as possible?

Dont presume that everyone is like yourself...

Of course money goes to China, but I avoid it as much as possible. With POE I have a choice, so I won't be spending any more money on this game.

Chris Wilson made Business decision and anybody of us would have made!He sold the Majority shares of the company to make money, and will keep making reasonable amount with the rest stock he has left!
Congrats on that! Now on the contrary side Tencent,is a Business man too and made a deal for himself which is also fine! What is NOT fine by me is the dealings of Tencent!Did any of you google what Tencent Social Score is?That bothers me the most!I personally always have supported this game and invested a lot of money, and time into it!That about to change foe me though!I will NEVER give a penny to Tencent because i know for what those money are used!Just google it and you will understand!Probably that's why some people are concerned here! And i understand it to be honest...Rest of the "Very Bright" comments are just plain dumb or funny,or are just there for some one to feel noticed!I personally find this move from GGG Logical, and Unmoral! As i read thru the comments,i am not the only one aware of Tencent dirty business so i think a lot of GGG's Revenue will go down because people like me who spend on this game will either move on to another game or just stop spending on it and play it as it is!When that happens,Tencent will implement payed things in this game which will make you more powerful, buy currency legally and so on!Its already being done on Chinese servers!Than Chris Wilson as the Minority holder of stock wont be able to do sh*t and things will be done exactly as Tencent say!Sad sad story!

Y'all are ranting like you have Chris's business experience, saying "Oh China! Bad move!".
It's so easy to point fingers, and shame others but I bet if you were in his shoes, your version of PoE would have not left the garage.

GGG, congratulations on this "merger", and I'm very happy to see that you are going to be well funded. This means cheaper MTX down the road since money will be more available, i hope!

Thanks for being so transparent too, I believe in you because you make your intentions clear.

Let me know if you get the hidden message! :D

Your assumption is that this is a merger? No, this is an acquisition. Big, big difference. Unfortunately the developers will soon feel the heat when they are pressured to deliver on any request made by the man who writes their checks. It's only a matter of time.

Honestly, when I first wrote the post I said Merger / Acquisition.
What I won't pretend to know are the differences / basic understanding of these concepts.
All in all I am just hopeful. Maybe precedence has been set that these things don't work out all the time. But I believe that PoE is not a typical game, and that I hope it may break all our lowly expectations of this business decision.

And even if it doesn't...I think GGG had a great streak while it lasted.

Change is scary, but it doesn't always have to be bad.
