nobody cares about all of u people crying making urself more important than you actually are
you will still continue playing this game, you will still buy mtx and supporter packs despite your letting go of emotions

It's not crying, but for what it's worth, I will be holding off on any financial support for the next couple of years until I am certain GGG can be the one exception to what happens when a small game dev is bought out. If Chris can pull off the impossible, I'll reinvest my time and money. But not until I am certain.
This is a "buff" guys:$$
but you never know dud.

being majority share holder means you can change whatever whenever you want.

you can change project manager you can change CEO you can change what so ever.

Guys, chill. Tencent saw an investment opportunity in a profitable company.

They put money in for development, marketing, etc. and they get a revenue. It would be very stupid to buy a profitable company, and change everything which made it profitable in the first place.

Now GGG can invest more time into developing and less time into looking for money.

POE is a fun game. What are you talking about???
So I may get hired by a big Corp that will put me in a much better financial position. But I better not or else my coworkers will accuse me of selling out. LMAO

Idk what's the average age of people posting but damn some of theses posts are hilariously dumb

... has acquired a majority stake in Grinding Gear Games. We will remain an independent company ...

Error 1 on line 1. That's a contradiction in terms. Sorry, Mr. Wilson, as a former top level management consultant, I have to break this to you: you do not own an independent company anymore.

As a PoE player I hope that everything will turn out as great as you envision. And you do deserve any penny. But you should not pull the wool over our eyes or yours.

Worried.
So Tencent huh.....?

with all that talk about remaining "independent" i hope you have anything about this in the contract with Tencent. otherwise, they can promise you all they want but if they fell like changeing everything they can do it and you guys can't do anything about it.

I'm realy worried about this!

i hope you guys will make the best out of it but it seems like a majority of the community fells like this is a very bad move.

Y'all are ranting like you have Chris's business experience, saying "Oh China! Bad move!".
It's so easy to point fingers, and shame others but I bet if you were in his shoes, your version of PoE would have not left the garage.

GGG, congratulations on this "merger", and I'm very happy to see that you are going to be well funded. This means cheaper MTX down the road since money will be more available, i hope!

Thanks for being so transparent too, I believe in you because you make your intentions clear.

Let me know if you get the hidden message! :D

Your assumption is that this is a merger? No, this is an acquisition. Big, big difference. Unfortunately the developers will soon feel the heat when they are pressured to deliver on any request made by the man who writes their checks. It's only a matter of time.
