" How many products that are made in China do you think you buy on a monthly basis? Did you ever check? Again, for the Nth time, i get the healthy concern about the future of PoE as a game and GGG as a company, and i have those concenrs myself, but takes like these aren't helpful in the slightest. Let's hope that PoE will retain its philosophy.

" HAHAHAHAH +1 It seems 99% of people here don't know yet that anything they buy this days they are ALREADY sending money to China. My end, it justifies my means,

Sounds like a big boon for GGG's ability to continue developing quality content, which sounds good to me. Still hyped for Incursion, still hyped for the future of PoE, still gonna buy supporter packs because shiny.

I'll keep playing, if I don't like it anymore I'll stop. If they release some MTX I like the look of and I can afford it I'll buy it. Nothing changes. Chinese, American, British, Russian...who cares, a good game is a good game.
A couple of things are a little worrying though: " Unless the numbers don't look the way the investors want, then it probably will have an impact. " One of the main reasons I like the temporary leagues is because of the new stuff, I would like to see some of these features Tencent may request, good or bad as we do now, that just seems a little biased towards the East if only they will get to experiment? Also if they have features that the rest of the world doesn't then it stops being PoE and becomes a spinoff. Any future requests they make for features will be affected by the ones that may already have been implemented on the Chinese servers but not the international, so the disparity between International and Chinese versions will increase? It sounds like they just want the cash from the international market so they can develop the Chinese version of the game more. I hope not. My hovercraft is full of eels.

This was a question of time. GGG receiving money from sponsors!
Do you really think GGG will have absolute control on PoE, I doubt that! I expect these news wasn't for the worse in future. |

your costs better change is all I'm asking. You're no longer that little indie company using supporter packs to keep you alive. you have a huge backing.. if your prices stay the same I won't be playing and I'll be telling friends as well not to come back. You basically sold out your community which has been supporting you this entire time.. for a huge company to instead back you and ask the same possible cash shop costs as a starving indie start up company??
