Please remove the mystery boxes because it's Hazard Gaming

If ggg made lootboxes would give never duplicates - that would be not hazard.

Right now it actually is hazard! :(

..also aka gambling addiction..

GGG why!
I dislike rarity so much im almost quitting poe2. GGG.

I don't get the hazard gaming comments. These are not pay to win loot boxes. You cannot get anything from a loot box that gives you a single advantage in the game. The drive to open these loot boxes is to get badass looking cosmetic skins while at the same time supporting the company that makes this game.

If you don't care about looking cool, you won't buy these loot boxes. If you don't want to risk getting duplicates, then either wait to get them when they come out later, or spend your points on the plethora of non loot box existing MTX in the shop at the moment.

The only people that might have an issue with this are no kids, or dudes like myself with a bunch of expendable income, it's people that have a genuine gambling addiction. Considering this game is entirely based on RNG, and you're gambling your time trying to get phat lewts, they really should stay the hell away from any games like this regardless of whether or not they have loot boxes.

4 categories:

1- those who have addiction issues: shouldn't be playing this anyway
2- those who hate the idea of loot boxes: don't buy them
3- those that make a bad decision and spend more than they should on loot boxes: grow up, take responsibility, and don't repeat your mistake
4- those that love loot boxes: continue buying loot boxes

Hazard gaming topic =/= pay to win topic.
It is a Whole different discussion.

Someone referenced Battlefront 2, which is pay to win, which is a problem in any game. Out of all that I posted, that is the one thing you responded to?

Sorry man I was in my car and that thing is the one witch blazed on my eyes first. I almost agree with your categories especially the fact that, if you are an hazard game addicted this is not the best place to solve the problem.

I know we shouldn't, but I really like those Bestiary wings, so I'll just do challenges until I get 24 and then I'll stop. I can stop playing any time I want.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

Seems the community is divided on this ethical dilemma supported by GGG. Well what is certain is, if you can’t beat em, join em!

Beer and fashion lewtz yeah baby yeah

+1. The problem here is you can find duplicates. That make it hazard game, because you potentially could never find what you are looking for, even spending a lot. More, in this game finding a dupe is like finding nothing, AND SPENDING MONEY IN A SYSTEM THAT COULD GIVE YOU NOTHING IS CONSIDERED IN ALMOST EVERY COUNTRY HAZARD GAME. If there weren't dupes, you'd know that (before or later) spending money will grant your goodie.
Fucking dead corpse after dead corpse. My wallet is bleeding. :)
If I go first, I'll wait for you in the other side of the dark water.
No "trick" they publish the chances, they also state the items will be sold at a later date outside the box.

I'm pretty anti loot box. Honestly these boxes are the first I have ever purchased in any game ever because I like the looks of the combination stuff. I never really payed attention to them before but now knowing you can get duplicates with no way of turning them into currency at a slightly reduced rate I find them extremely shady. Either drop dupes in my opinion or give people way to turn things they do not want/dupes into points at a reduced rate. The one thing I do give them credit for is most of the items are going to cost a lot more than $3 when they go up for sale individually. So there is that.
Yeah, I'd like to be able to go back to saying that POE is a model example of how to do free-to-play ethically.
Will be a thing of the past soon. Many countries (Belgium for example) and some states in the US have legislation pending banning these bad boys. I guess once it passes somewhere companies will not want to just ban them for some users; probably just get rid of it altogether.
