yeah going out raving can be extremely unhealthy... its also fun. As a human being you get to make that call with your own body and mind, what do I pay for my fun? What toll does it take? As if the gambling element and duplicates existing in loot boxes aren't bad enough, now they've taken it one step further and placed the nicest looking MTX behind a "blended MTX" mechanic. Just so you can waste even more dollars trying to get two complete sets, when one was already hard enough.

There ought to be some kind of government regulations regarding such purchases in games.

This game isn't meant for kids. Hell should we make producing porn illegal because kids can go online and find it? Also someone with a gambling addiction is going to be blowing their money on lotto tickets, not buying mtx boxes in a video game.

It is in some form since when you get duplicate (aka useless items you can't use) it is literally stuff you bought and won't be of any use for you. ESRB rating for Path of Exile is M. That's 17+. One quick search on ESRB.org gave that information. Did you even bother trying?
