Congrats on taking his quote out of context. Again, Snorkle is talking specifically about how there's massive discrimination against 2H RT builds, while crit builds continuously get buffed massively, not about Abyss jewels being overpowered.

You just literally took a quote out of context to support your claim. You clipped the entire latter part only to try and prove your point. In the academic world, you'd not only be laughed at, but you'd also be criticized heavily and likely be shunned for doing such a thing. I think ppl mistake what Im complaining about, Im not actually complaining about power creep on its own, outrageous power creep is not a good thing but this thread wasnt inspired simply by power but rathe runbalanced power, my issue here is balance.

I actually like that mirrored gear can theoretically be beaten. I dont think beating it by a wide wide margin is a good thing but I think theyre kind of ok in this sense. Were people rly mirroring gloves and hats that much? You can get an extra 50% phys on ur weapon? So like 300% phys now instead of 259% or whqatever is currently the max, but u lose a suffix like crit multi. thats actually a good chance because an RT build doesnt need multi so they have no tradeoff.

I wanted chase items, yep, and we got em, very pleased. That must entail power creep, we got some, all good with me no complains so far.

Its not everyone, this isnt ascendancy across the board powercreep, this is a select small % of possible builds who are getting massive buffs that are on an entire different planet to all the others. It starts with crit, with ele conversion, dual wield, trappers and miners, summons. Theres these segements of builds that then move into tiny niches where there is an exponential creep in their potential damage, massive, and these were a lot of the builds that were already doing wayyy too much damage, they havent used this to solve the issue of damage inbalance, theyve made it so catastrophically bigger that its now beyond any hope of ever solving while these select few item mods are allowed to exist.

Before people get that twisted, I have 20+ builds going at all times. On standard I have mirror level wands, swords, daggers, sceptres, bows, I got disfavours, staves, caster daggers, wands, I have just baout every combo of rare prefixes highly rolled across all varients of rare gear chests 6 linked, just about every decent unique chest 6L, lego koams, Ive got everything I could ever want. I can play anything, I can do anything, its not about "well Im the sort of guy who has 2 chars and theyre both 2h melee and 2h melee got no buffs so now Im QQ"... no, its not personal about my builds, I play across the board.

But as someone who enjoys playign across the board, I care about balance across the board. Thats what Im here complaning about, not power creep, not items beating mirrored items, not QQ my favourite build is 2nd rate, Im complaining about existing imbalances in the game being multiplied by horrendous amounts, the game being taken into a state of unbalance between build types that it has never known, has never even been close to knowing before.

You dont need ilvl84 bases, you dont need t1 rolls, slayer mentioned glyphmark is broken but rare, yeah thats true. Brood Twines base rolls came from a legaue but it only became that weapon on standard, in a league rolling an item even like glyph mark is near impossible. 8L hats and weapons with multiple free auras are up for sale within 4 days of a new league start, items that mess up the balance are already in the temp league before even a week is up.

You need a lvl3 or 4 enlighten just for the average melee build to run 2x 50% auras, and theres stat sticks giving you 3.5x 50% auras with no reserve? Who can use them properly? A phys to ele conversion fake dual wield attacker or a dual wield phys to ele conversion caster. Can anyone try and make the case here that those builds needed this? That any balance between those and the alternatives can now exist? I think not. Most builds can run 1.5 auras, a 50% and a herlad, 1.5 auras, and then heres 2 free auras on weapons virtually anyone cna get all over the place within days of a new league, but only if you play this tiny little fraction of build possibilities. You need to hit 3 prefixes for 3 free auras, yes if u get the ilvl84 perfect divine u get 3.5 free auras, and thats rare, but you dont need that for 3 reserve free global auras while most builds have 1.5, and if ur pure physical you got nothing, you dont even have an aura you can run. Vuln blasph? So now you cant do cwdt enfeeble, you lose defence u need, and now u got curse effectiveness on bosses so the 1 place u need ur damage ur damage aura doesnt work, and then u got hexproof maps... no, its not an option. There is no real damage aura that is satisfactory for that build type, meanwhile if u get a lvl3 enlighten u can have essentially 5 damage auras on your fake ele covnersion dual wield in a game where auras were considered so powerful we had to require you to get an enlighten lvl3+ for most builds to even run 2.


its not power creep, its not item creep, its those things introduced on a massive scale in a way that takes existing terrible balance and makes it worse by an unbelievable factor, its not twice as bad as it was, its not 3x, its way beyond that, beyond any terrible state of balance these areas have ever seen. Thats my issue. The worst thing is that any player with a competent level of game knowledge can look at those stat sticks and within 10 seconds tell you this, that theyre ridiculous, shouldnt exist and they make stuff thats already bad much worse. How does something like that make its way into the game? Im not a great player, Im not a great theorycrafter, Im just an average player with a longer than average playtime and I can tell you theyre broken the instant I see them, so how did they make it passed the entire GGG dev team?

Even all business is quoted above saying they shouldnt have existed in the first place.

Why arnt they using power creep to address balance issues? If you got a bag full of power to add, why are they not giving that power to the underpowered in order to shift over metas and achieve a more healthy diverse state of game balance? Is it carelessness? Is it cluelessness? whatever it is they now have a devistated gamestate balance wise and this will require yet more vast nerfs to address, and we all know how well they go down.

I.NO get over it the game is on its death bed at this point. Original poster is entirely right, Sharts is right. There is literally close to no point now. They just released open server diablo 2 but as the actual and only game. Except instead of zonfire you and your crew can use your orbs to roll up some dumb shit while the rest of us quit. I remember making an open server immuno pvp char, was fun for a week. Enjoy Path!
