I have another theory.

According to GGG, Significnat of people don't play end games, even less beat end game bosses like guardians/shaper.

With the new Elder/Shaper gears, more peopely may feel liek doing end game maps to loot them, & with all the sudo-5-6-7 links gears, more people will be able to beat end game contents, making them feel good, & well spend money on MTX.

But its just a theory

Why does almost every theory have to end in selling mxts? You really think the sole purpose of GGG is to sell mxts? That everything they do, down to the designs of UI and items alike, is only done with the sale of mxts in mind?

Couldn't it just be that this game is a form of art and artists are making more art for us to enjoy, optionally at a price? Why does there always have to be some slimy scheme behind it? This isn't EA we're talking about here.

Despite clearly being a business, GGG holds a record of fairness within the gaming industry. Call me a white knight as most do, but all I do is remind people that it's not as bad as it's often unfortunately portrayed.

I don't agree to everything they do. I have provided feedback in the past and often, even now, voice my concerns. But I also want GGG to know that some of us do still see all the great things they're doing, despite the odd mistake. Their heart is in the right place still, after all these years. They should be proud and it doesn't hurt to say that sometimes.

Monetary support is earned, not demanded here and if anything, the amount if supporters is a testament to GGG's success as a company. Considering the lack of consumer traps, that's a great achievement.

We should take care of the good developers in our industry, so they keep making wonderful games like PoE. :)

Ummm because thats all there is to it? Every corporation has one goal in mind - revenue, so whenever they make something new they consider first and foremost how much money they'll get from it.

Partly true. There's more under the sun than profits, you know.

There really isn't. They are not a non-profit organization or someone who is doing charity work. Everything they do is carefully calculated with money in mind. If you think otherwise you are pretty idealistic.

Look, money is a means to an end. A company aims for success. Success relies on many factors, not just cash. Money is necessary for growth and increased success, of course. But the goal in entertainment should always be the product or better yet, us. Otherwise, you get EA.

It's a matter of perspective and we should perhaps just agree to disagree.

You don't need to farm high tier maps to get good gear. You can farm tier 1 maps whole day and still equip whatever you want.

The "whole day" is a problem.
It really isn't. The only thing high tier maps are better for are items and considering how rare the real good items are...........

Lets say there is a reason the richest farmers did shaped maps and not the highest guardian ones.
So, after looting about two tabs of these items, all of them being garbage, I can say that the panic was a bit overrated. (unless red maps drop tons of those 6-links, I'm not there yet)

If there is an issue, it only lies in some people's ability to spam hundreds of exalts to craft these items from scratch. And that's mostly a Standart problem. To prevent this, using scours should make these items normal non-Shaper/Elder variant. This way, half-decent items could still be improved with yolo exalting / master crafting, but couldn't be spammed into perfection.

1) The power creep isn't anywhere near noticeable in HC. That's because the power creep is based on items and not something free that everyone can get. HC has an item sink. Logic 101.

2) The OP Snorkle only makes references to War of Atlas items, not abyss. NT.

3) Getting all T2 rolls in temp league is pretty much mirror worth in league, again, it's not that easy. Or why don't you show me your mirror tier gear in temp league right now? Oh wait you don't play temp leagues.

4) You don't need to play the league to know it's bullshit? That's akin to some arm chair analyst who has never played the sport trying to say 'well that's not fair in football/baseball/basketball/tennis/etc. sport'

Again, this is massively overreacting. Snorkle himself doesn't even have a fucking Shaper/Elder item on his temp league character, so why he's bitching about all this 'OP power' is beyond me

None of it is free; you have to get the best mods on the hardest maps, and have to hope the best base drops, then actually roll it to the correct rolls. You act like people are just walking around in tier 1 rares like it's nbd. Which is why I'm calling absolute horse shit on this thread and the same people who keep screaming power creep.

Cool story. /s

Should I remind about those "epic" multi pseudolinked items that appeared for players just clearing "trash" in less than 1 week since the launch of WftA?

Now, be serious and multiply them via the number of currently playing players and at least the further 2 months and 3 weeks. Don't you see any kind of possible problem?

If you're talking about solely about best of the best "mirror tier" Shaper/Elder items for each and everyone of us, I'll concede and just say that they will get available in sufficient numbers with enough time (I'll bet that you'll agree that with current 0 drop restrictions, we should get there in about 1 year).

So why didn't GGG made at least a try to link "power creep" to difficulty aka Shaper/Elder items to bosses??? You do know that players will come accustomed to this current way of giving "free candy" for nothing, and will surely complain in the future when the "road bumps" appear...

Snorkle's request was that these new "chase" items to be gated by more than simple RNG and a further encouragement to skip bosses, as they should actually be an incentive to test yourself versus the harshest content, and if that would have mandated a further linking them to the difficulty (like better tier affixes should be solely on the items dropped from the corrupted dangerous multi modded aka 8-10 mods maps), but GGG dropped the ball completely by making them just "RNG craft/trade chase" items, as anyone with sufficient currency could either buy them or RNG craft them in a couple of months, if not already...

If you're still not seeing the problem, that's fine, as that's GGG stance too, but I'll patiently wait the further solution provided to the current problem, instead of asking for "nerfs" - and no, linking some of the current "opie-op" new chase rares after some difficult encounters isn't asking for a nerf, it's just asking for a "fair" danger/reward ratio to be implemented regarding the incentive to play the game instead of just RNG craft/trade for said benefits...

And let's not even open the "can of worms" that Stygian belts introduce, but at least for those GGG linked them to "difficult" content...

It is simple RNG. The items are not that easy to roll; prove me otherwise.
