Because literally last patch he was begging GGG to ask chase items. The chase items are now here. Getting god tier rares (as in really tier 1 legendary fucking lul afk destroy game items) is not easy; it wasn't easy before, and it won't be easy this league either. Why Snorkle is suddenly on the bandwagon nerf train is beyond me.

also, the shaper/elder items, which you INSIST is the sole point of this, are in the core game, anyway... so the league is actually moot. GOOD JOB! a+ logic!

Should I remind about those "epic" multi pseudolinked items that appeared for players just clearing "trash" in less than 1 week since the launch of WftA?

Now, be serious and multiply them via the number of currently playing players and at least the further 2 months and 3 weeks. Don't you see any kind of possible problem?

If you're talking about solely about best of the best "mirror tier" Shaper/Elder items for each and everyone of us, I'll concede and just say that they will get available in sufficient numbers with enough time (I'll bet that you'll agree that with current 0 drop restrictions, we should get there in about 1 year).

So why didn't GGG made at least a try to link "power creep" to difficulty aka Shaper/Elder items to bosses??? You do know that players will come accustomed to this current way of giving "free candy" for nothing, and will surely complain in the future when the "road bumps" appear...

Snorkle's request was that these new "chase" items to be gated by more than simple RNG and a further encouragement to skip bosses, as they should actually be an incentive to test yourself versus the harshest content, and if that would have mandated a further linking them to the difficulty (like better tier affixes should be solely on the items dropped from the corrupted dangerous multi modded aka 8-10 mods maps), but GGG dropped the ball completely by making them just "RNG craft/trade chase" items, as anyone with sufficient currency could either buy them or RNG craft them in a couple of months, if not already...

If you're still not seeing the problem, that's fine, as that's GGG stance too, but I'll patiently wait the further solution provided to the current problem, instead of asking for "nerfs" - and no, linking some of the current "opie-op" new chase rares after some difficult encounters isn't asking for a nerf, it's just asking for a "fair" danger/reward ratio to be implemented regarding the incentive to play the game instead of just RNG craft/trade for said benefits...

And let's not even open the "can of worms" that Stygian belts introduce, but at least for those GGG linked them to "difficult" content...
PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...

Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days...

They have added powerfull items. But have any of you tried the end game bosses yet? just wondering if they have become harder aswell.

According to GGG, Significnat of people don't play end games, even less beat end game bosses like guardians/shaper.

With the new Elder/Shaper gears, more peopely may feel liek doing end game maps to loot them, & with all the sudo-5-6-7 links gears, more people will be able to beat end game contents, making them feel good, & well spend money on MTX.

But its just a theory
It's like going from D3 to RoS, best items became crap next to average from expansion. It's good, very good - lot of uniques were always overpriced, but most builds need at last one expensive unique. You can't force player to farm forever to be able to try things, it's suppose to come naturally. So yeah, now you have a reason to farm and play endgame. To make your character strong, not just with starter items. The game is much better than in times, when Shavrone costed 30+ ex. Now it's just 70c. But it's good, you know. Most people can try different things for affordable currency, while hardcore grinders will have their 8l, which won't be enough anyway, because one hit is one hit, it's Path of Glass Cannons anyway and the Elder+Shaper being final goals it's safe to say that even OP 8l items won't be enough to face-roll them with whatever build you want. Those OP items are here to make viable different builds than meta and make other items cheaper. Great change, one of the best GGG ever made.

I hope that game won't be too easy and new content will deliver like now map infestation did. Balance is ongoing thing, but making some things easier make people have more confidence to try their own builds, it's the core of PoE. No need to go for meta if you have currency and gear anyway. Online games are always like that: hard content, years pass, ok so only few people get there, let's make it easier for everyone, but instead add something else for stronger characters. Rinse, repeat.

I think that is good theory.

Fo example myself. I was never able to kill Atziri, i never did uber lab and i didnt reach ony guardian. Based on skills only without trating items and with limted time i was able to reach t13-14 maps but had neither time or desire to force myself into farming them for that one item that will help me to do those bosses. So i just stop playing and go into another game. But i know eventually there will be that league that will allow me to reach those bosses as i was able to reach 90 lvl (before i was able like till 75-76). Off course my understanding of game is growing and it gives fruits.

But as i understand PoE mechanics is like 20% of good build is skill tree and rest is gear. But to have good gear You need to farm high tier maps. But to be able to farm them you need gear. And that is crazy circle. So those items are maby something that should allow to break it?
You don't need to farm high tier maps to get good gear. You can farm tier 1 maps whole day and still equip whatever you want.
