Will GGG sell out?

Even if GGG would be bought, it doesnt have to be bad and could be even good for the game. Some Chinese Company bought riot games and the quality of the game didnt go down and they have more funding for more workers to improve the game.
The last game I played that got bought out was Star Trek Online. It wasn't a great game to begin with, but some asian company bought them out and introduced a new revenue source in the form of random loot boxes you had to pay real life money to open. Each one had a very small chance at something great like a ship and a much greater chance at consumables. There's other things they did to the game to get you to rely on the cash shop but I stopped playing by then.

That's my fear with PoE. If it gets bought out, who will it be and what will they do with the cash shop? Add powerful items? Quality skill gems? A stupid random loot box system which is basically gambling? If it's ever bought out by an asian company you can be sure they'll try to force us to use the cash shop on a regular basis - it's what they do and the reason why I have a rule to "stay away from free to play online games". PoE is a very rare exception to that rule.
@MrSparkle001:

Well, the ONLY Asian games that I play are all on private servers - no need to spend RL money whatsoever. Just have to vote for the site and I get the currency that way. Some Asian games are not bad at all - Jade Dynasty is a great game, beautiful graphics, friendly community, great music and the pets/mounts kick major ass - all takes place in mythological China. I quite enjoy riding on my red, fire-breathing Chinese dragon :)
The Pope quit, a meteor fell on Russia, an
asteroid came close to the earth, there's snow
in Arizona, star wars and star trek have the
same director! Who the hell is playing jumanji?
Jade Dynasty? Star Trek online? I wretch at the thought of A Perfect World acquiring GGG. They already have the Torchlight series under their wing.
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!
There's no way anyone would buy GGG without the sole intention of milking PoE for money.

I would be willing to bet larger companies have been interested in buying GGG for quite some time now.

And I would also bet if the offer were high enough, GGG would take it.

And to complete the hatrick, I would bet the offer will never be high enough.

good suggestion, i start with one chaos.
muhahaha
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
I hope not, I really really hope not.

However I wouldn't be mad at them if they did, because in their shoes I would probably too. (for of course the right price).

don't really care long as their business model doesn't change

i have no problem paying $ for this game initially. hell, even paying monthly wouldn't be impossible, but P2W is fucked up and i would refuse to play it if that were the case.
GGG? Sell out? Community loving actual gamers?

...

Does not compute.
You will never see a man faking anger, passion and relentless behavior.

You will always see a man faking love, politeness and respectful behavior.
I think Chris said in an interview that they had some offers from publishers but didin't like them. I guess if they get an offer like Runic (might be wrong here), where they said " keep doing what you're doing here's some money to help you" that'd be not too bad.
