Will GGG sell out?

League of Legends didn't sell out and look at where League of Legends currently is, lol. They make shitloads of money, run the most popular game in the world, and are basically set to go. You can buy characters with money instead of grinding out IP for them, but it doesn't give you any kind of real advantage over the next player since free characters are available every week anyways.

Even if this company did sell out, it would just be a shame, but no one is forcing you to play their game. I would just keep riding the amazing game train until it comes to a halt (if it ever does). This game is great, the devs are always updating it, and it's just cool overall. The micro transactions seem fair and cool, and I hope that it's the gameplan for years to come.

I think that this game has a lot of potential for its genre and I'm anxious to see how it is received worldwide, because I know a lot of non-Westerners really dig action RPGs and the requirements aren't really high + it's free. It has all the ingredients to be an extremely successful game. It's very much like League of Legends in those regards.

And we haven't even gotten started on PvP man. If these guys make more money and hire a full-fledged PVP dev team, this game could end up being even more popular than it already is. PVP in this game is just the cherry on top man, lol. This game has shitloads of potential right now.

It is NOT always a bad thing if a company gets acquired by a bigger one. I have no problem with a few changes if the developers can still realize most of what they envisioned for the game AND have enough money to live, well and get more money to invest in Servers/Programmers/Whatever.

Riot Games was acquiered too(http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2379503,00.asp) but, the only thing that changed was championprizes, the company itself stayed the same and the numbers speeak for themselves. Who knows, maybe somehing like this might happen to GGG, and if it does im happy for them. I wont stop playing if either happens.

Except now the company is more focused on the 'esport' scene and forcing the 'esport meta' into games instead of actually working on the game, and not pumping out champions every month.

People I have News!!!

Me and my buddy Robert have found some old Sandwiches and an Apple in the Fridge and used them to bargain a Deal with the starving Devs from GGG.

To make it short. GGG sold out! To ME....and my buddy Robert.

We will let them finish what they started (Rest of act 3 and skill gems)
After that my Sister who wants to be a programmer when she grows up will take over.

I hope you stay to support us in the Future and give us feedback on our new ilvl 100 Weapon Microtransactions and other Good Stuff. :D

That's it, you heard it here first. Chris will make an official Post in the next days after he is over the food poisening.

Cheers.

People and rumours.... Spreading false ones in the internet can make quite a big fuss as it is in man nature to panic at everything which can endanger his world.

On topic I have been following the game since almost 2 years ago. I have been reading almost all interviews with the team, forum topics etc. My opinion is that GGG will never do such a thing as this will be the 180 opposite of the idea with which they started GGG.
As long as there is steady income to pay salaries and server costs that is. If by some misfortune income is lower then expenditures i see GGG trying evrything possible to self fund the game. Probably if that fails....

But lets stop speculating of what could be and focus on enjoying of what it is guys.

Also it would help to donate something. Myself have spent 150 usd already (all stash tabs, still aiming for 3 rare names recipes) and planning to shed a lot more when some effects and armor skins come around (piety fiery form armor comes to mind).

And that is the best arpg I have played since D2 and actually i think i am playing it even more.

I've heard some rumors that larger companies are interested in buying GGG.

Do you think they will sell out? It'd be a pretty sad day if they did, 99% guarantee the game would just get worse if someone else was running it.

of course they would... if the price is right.
there's a price for everything.
