[Sept 18] Player-player Trading
We have large trade-system plans that are underway. Although we haven't discussed the specifics publicly yet, we've mentioned that it's integrated with the website. Our plan is that people can trade items without having to load the game client (good luck getting any work or study done now!)
Because this feature is taking a while, we may consider implementing a simple player-player trade within an instance as an interim measure (but this would be wasted development time as it'd be replaced by the proper system when that is ready). Edit (Sept 18): This information still represents our view of this issue. The simpler trade screen is coming soon as a stopgap measure - probably within the next 3 weeks. In my opinion you should do that simple player-player trade even if it slowed down the overall progress a little.

I think that if you can get the integrated, final version of trade done by open beta, then don't waste development time on the simple player to player trade. However, if that isn't realistic, then I think a lot of people would be kind of confused or upset if there was no safe trading of any sort in open beta.

" I disagree. The current party-drop-trading is working fine for closed beta. Shouldn't need an interim solution for the near future. |
|
" I agree, the full website integration is amazing. If it could be extended to trades I think it would solve a lot of player complaints. A player could offer things up while another is offline for linked items by clicking that link on the forums. A player could either agree, decline, or counteroffer. Then of course your normal in-game trading as well. |

Take as long as you have to in order to implement the final trading system, because I also agree, that party-drop-trading currently in closed beta is working pretty fine.
| |
As yet non-player supports trading asap unless the dev load makes it unrealistic or unless the web version will kick in sooner rather than later. Economy/trading is a big part of the game for some. Cheers!

" Fully agreed. This is a beta with a (mostly) strong community. People act in a trustworthy manor. As long as the final trade system is here by Open Beta, we can keep working with what we have. NewDude: I killed Brutus. Now I have no quest. So what now?
Guy: I guess there are people that NEED quests for direction. Guy2: I always wonder how those people get through life. GuyMontag: They get married. Wives are like quest-givers. | |
I agree with long term development. Becouse your wasting money and time which you guys don't have. No offence, but beter that way. |

Why can't we have trading over the website AND a player to player trade interface ingame?
Disregard witches, aquire currency.
