This game needs an automated, in-game trading system

So Poe.trade is great for what it is. But my issue is I firstly am clicking whisper, going back into my game, pressing enter and then cntrl-v. And I have to do this tons of times hoping someone will reply. When they do, you gotta invite themn to a party and visit their hideout then do the trade, and also you have to interact with them, and this also means the seller has to leave their current area to go to their hideout and look in their stash.

All of this is a mission.

What I propose is this:

You have a stash tab where everything you put in can be sold. Like you do currently with a premium tab. Including right clicking and choosing the currency you want to sell for. "Make me an offer" can also be an option in which case one can whisper you and do the old-school current trade system.

then you have a vendor in-game who sells items on trade. it has a search function exactly like poe.trade. Except when you want an item, you just buy it like you would a normal vendor. the currency goes into the sellers stash and they get notified, and you have your item. No interacting or shenanigans.

If POE want to make it only for people who have a currency and premium tab, so be it. I'd rather pay for this system. This is coming from someone who is using procurement right now because I'm unemployed.

this makes much more sense to me. I don't know if it's difficult to implement coding-wise, but to me if you're doing poe.trade and everyones items are already stored on your servers I don't see why it can't work.

thanks :)

it can work and it can be done, but GGG has said it will never be done. they don't want trading to be easy - it trivializes gear acquisition. If anything, trading will be made harder (ie. integrated into core game, but without instant buyouts and without the option to filter items like poe.trade can - see xbox/poe chinese trade system).
No
Just npc with all tabs of items for sell in hideout will be enough. No automation is needed at all.

poe.trade is reality if you like it or not, and poe.trade is real auction house, gear acquisition is super easy, npc will add only connivance and save your time.

No it dose not.

Also GGG say no, have been saying no since forever and will continue to say no.

it's rediculously easy to upgrade your stuff already for a price which isn't worth mentioning in most cases. so i really hope they make trading harder soon.

restricting trade by enforcing player interaction isn't really working too. the opportunity costs of having to return to your hideout is none, even a hoarder like me who sells every rare item he finds in a map is only using 4 portals max which leaves 2 for trading.

their idea of keeping item prices up by restricting the overal trade's item supply through enforcing players to be online to trade isn't working as one can see all offers worldwide even for offline players which puts a downward pressure on average to early endgame items.

current trade needs to get the same hard restrictions on item search like in the xbox version. then we can talk about easier item exchange.

Convenient trading system is #1 priority for developers of any MMO game, but not for GGG - they have irrational fear of it. But difference between in-game trading system (where buyer is not forced to contact with seller) and current trading system (poe.trade) is only lack of trade scammers and afk. So, in fact, GGG is protecting trade scammers...

Also, one more thing: creating the ability to get rid of scammer in your hideout requires N time to develop, and it is still not implemented. Creating in-game trading system requires 10.000*N time to develop, and i don't think they are able to do it even if they want to.

The xbox trade system is much likely the first step to a full trade system with filters. As soon as GGG realizes that a trading system does not break POE's economy (at least not more than it already is) it will be implanted in the pc version as well.

As long as POE don't have a full internal trade system with filters for sure external sites like poe.trade will continue to exist. So the transition will never be that as rough as you think
Seems like this game need only die-hard fans playing.

Others as can be seen from statistics will try it for couple of hours and go away, just because its don`t have and will not have common user-friendly features like convenient trading.
