Make it easier for christians to meddle with politics and no one bats an eye, make it easier for muslims to meddle with politics and everybody starts screaming "SHARIA LAW!!!".

Religion and politics, despite what the people and the US wants to claim, is intimately tied together in that country. Take a man that say he's christian, then the EXACT same man in every single aspects EXCEPT he's not christian/jewish and you'll see a massive difference in vote intention.

Also, considering how often "god" is being cited in political announcement show how much religion is present in politic of the States.


As for the rest of the post, is that a reputable source? I,m having trouble believing that republicans are that far up in their own ass...

Other than a failed attempt to ban immigration form 3rd world terrorist-infested warzones, how exactly are muslims oppressed & discriminated in USA? And even that travel ban is a stretch, considering it had to do with islamic terrorism, not "muslims".

What you are saying is that religion already has an influence on politics right? But I still think that just because it already has an influence in politics it doesn't mean that making that influence stronger can't be more harmful.

Just the idea of having religious leaders saying directly to their followers that they need to chose candidate X makes me disgusted.

About the source of the image fivethirdeight.com was founded by Nate Silver. Although people got mad at him when Trump won, his polls weren't totally wrong. They predicted Hillary would get more votes, not how these votes would be distributed across the country.

fun fact, they are fighting in these warzones and have no spare troops to send to stir up shit in other countries while they are getting their ass kicked. All of the terrorists attack that were permeated from islamic extremists (on US soil) came from countries that didn't have a travel ban.

It's not logical to ban countries from which there was not a single terrorist attacks while you maintain open border with those that actually did...

The travel ban affected everyone from those countries, it didn't even try to distinguish between terrorists or not, it just put everyone in the same (bad) basket.

And you think there's no discrimination towards anyone that has brown skin? Just try to pass the US border with an arab sounding name and you'll see. The stories of being detained and interrogated for hours, with a request to unlock your phone to see what's on it is (or was) common occurrence.


If you don't believe me, ask someone you know that come from the middle east (or has an heritage) if he noticed intolerance going up towards himself. Then ask him to ask others that come from the middle east if they feel that way (they'll often lie to other ethnicity in order to not stir shit). You could be surprised.

It's more than an influence. It literally prevents candidate to even present themselves if they aren't christians. Just look at all the propaganda that went towards Obama that decried him as a muslism (as if that automatically made him an awful person).


as for the poll, it honestly looks like the republican part was done in a KKK community while the democratic part in a mosque...
