Donald Trump and US politics

Moreno was sitting at a table with his boss, Rocky Payton, the factory’s general manager, and Amy Saum, the human resources manager. All said they had voted for Trump, and all were bewildered that he wanted to cut funds that channel people into good manufacturing jobs.

“There’s a lot of wasteful spending, so cut other places,” Moreno said.

Payton suggested that if the government wants to cut budgets, it should target “Obama phones” provided to low-income Americans. (In fact, the program predates President Barack Obama and is financed by telecom companies rather than by taxpayers.)

"But I voted for him so he would screw OTHER people, why is he doing this to me?"

Doesn't take into account the 54 billion increase to defense related spending. A lot of people could get manufacturing related jobs through that as well as the wall.

There's obviously going to be winners and losers in his budget, that's basically stated in the opening letter to congress in Trump's budget blueprint if you've read it. But if he accomplishes his promise of 'keeping more of America's hard-earned tax dollars here at home' there is legitimate reason to still be 'loyal'.

My Budget Blueprint for 2018:
• provides for one of the largest increases in defense spending without increasing the
debt;
• significantly increases the budget for immigration enforcement at the Department of
Justice and the Department of Homeland Security;
• includes additional resources for a wall on the southern border with Mexico, immigration
judges, expanded detention capacity, U.S. Attorneys, U.S. Immigration and
Customs Enforcement, and Border Patrol;
• increases funding to address violent crime and reduces opioid abuse; and
• puts America first by keeping more of America’s hard-earned tax dollars here at home.

It could actually be good. Liberals shouldn't dismiss it outright.

I hope you realize that article contains basically zero actual news and is manufactured liberal feel-good propaganda, right? "Fiscal conservatives like spending cuts more when it doesn't effect them" isn't some amazing revelation.

I think that the fact that these people didn't turn on him straight away is worth of being reported:

"
One recent survey found that only 3 percent of Trump voters would vote differently if the election were today (and most of those would vote for third-party candidates; only 1 percent said they would switch to voting for Hillary Clinton).

I've heard or read somewhere else saying that the amount of Trump supporters regretting their votes was around 10% and at the time I thought it was very unlikely, so reading this article was useful to me since it shone a light on that. If it had no use to you then it's fine, it happens, but saying that it's propaganda it's a bit of an stretch don't you think? I think that any president that is falling in approval rate as Trump is would have the same kind of articles about him.

I think that the point is that they really thought he wasn't going to cut things that affects them. Someone was certainly going to draw the short straw, why didn't they thought that it could be them? This is certainly not something that is unprecedented, but I think it's worth reporting every time it happens.

So far is hard to tell how many jobs this is going to generate(it's hard to tell if the wall will even be a thing), so I don't know why would they mention that, besides I don't think the article was about the number the people that are being screwed vs the number of people that are being helped.

There will certainly be winners, but I think people should look it up before counting themselves in that group. About if there is reasons to keep being loyal to Trump at this point, I think that's arguable, there certainly some of his promises that he didn't keep. For example, I think he said that he would use american steel on those pipelines he green-lighted, and as far as I know he didn't keep that promise.

So far the reasons to keep being loyal to him mostly has to do with things he might do in the future, so if you voted for him and is optimistic, then sure, I can understand your reasons to be loyal.

Yeah, ol' Hank Johnson pretty much takes the cake for ignorance. Nancy Pelosi might be excused for not knowing the current, sitting President of the United States based on an incurable case of "Blame Bush," after all those years. =^[.]^=

ahaha it's sad he can't use words such as motherfucker for the sake of being politically correct.... I think he's at his best when he's like that.
4D chess continues?

If Trump is always golfing like this I really don't mind tbh.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
