Donald Trump and US politics

Wow...

As long as the exceptions to animal husbandry are fixed I find it hard to believe that anyone would have the courage to go against that bill. I mean, for real, who the hell would advocate for bestiality? Let's leave them poor animals alone '~'

I don't get the whole 'safe space' and 'snowflake' memes being attributed to left wing ideals.

I understand the humour in memeing the opposition so to speak. But it always strikes me that the same meme is pretty much as applicable to right wing ideals.

Kinda weird.
Casually casual.

There's been an attempt to get them to stick on someone else now that the terms are poison, but nobody wants that garbage and the left is stuck with them. You're trying to shift them right now, for whatever reasons you have.

There's nothing actually wrong with concepts like 'trigger warning', 'safe space', 'social justice', and so on. The problem is that their proponents went batshit crazy with them and used them as swords instead of shields.

I don't really know of a way to keep the good (voluntary covenants defending abused people) while getting rid of the bad (censoring people and wishing them harm).

If you care about the concepts behind the words, I'd recommend abandoning the words, coming up with untainted terms, then make sure nobody shits the bed again. Replacing 'safe space' with 'support group', for instance.

I disagree. "Safe space" culture was invented by statists on the right and is about as old as establishment government. The Religious Right in particular had strong "safe space" culture. What's different now is that "the Left" isn't the Left anymore, technically; they won the culture war, particularly in bastions such as universities and Hollywood, and as such are now the status quo instead of their traditional role of challengers of the status quo. As such, soft censorship of free speech to prevent debate on the issues has flopped from something UC Berkeley crusaded against decades ago, to something they find practical today.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
