Donald Trump and US politics
" I'm curious to what degree Trump's tweets slamming random celebrities and blurting out incomplete policy desires "work" for an acting president. The whole point of the critique is that, yeah, it looks kinda bad for the sitting president to be spending time on Twitter blasting out his every thought about any given stupid feud he may have had. In some cases, it's just a matter of reminding the rest of the world how bizarrely unhinged the president of the united states is. In other cases, it can have real policy consequences, like his bizarre tweets about Taiwan. I'm sure it works just fine for Trump the candidate. I still find the assertion made by Adams and others that he was somehow "playing 4D chess" rather absurd. But the election is over. Maybe it's time for him to at least pretend that he's fit for the office he holds. Because every day he doesn't, the USA slips another notch in the international public consciousness. " Do you have anything to back any of these claims up? Because to my knowledge, the only available metrics we have as to the honesty and bias of news networks are attempts to quantify what the people who watch those news networks know. This is not a perfect proxy by any stretch of the imagination, but it does give us some idea of where these news networks lie in terms of accuracy. And in those surveys, FOX never, ever does well. FOX News viewers consistently rank worse than the other major cable news networks. They were (obviously) the most misinformed about 9/11 and Iraq, but they also scored disturbingly low about things like what's in Obamacare, what does the scientific consensus have to say about global warming, and similar questions - that is, questions with a clear right answer that somehow became politicized. I actually compiled a bunch of these studies, you can find a post on the subject here. (For anyone interested, the thread that post is from is over 1300 posts long, and has been going on for ages citing countless cases of FOX News bias and misconduct.) Or, alternatively, I wonder if there's any evidence of left-wing bias from any of the other mainstream news networks as clear and obvious as FOX News's internal memos. If James O'Keefe had found shit like that from CNN, his most recent sting probably wouldn't have passed like the big fat nothingburger that it was. That reminds me: where did Deceptionist go?
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

I never got the tiny hands meme, he has perfectly normal hands for his height.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

"It's a trigger for the Donald. Someone years ago said he had small hands, and Trump had made a habit of sending him an outline of his hands with a note saying "See? Normal." Trump has done this annually. I approve of the joke. If there's one thing I don't like, it's trigger warning culture. By all means, trigger away. LOL, I love when people who aren't from the USA always have such strong opinions about our politics. It's fucking hilarious because 99% of these twats are completely clueless.
