so because you included the fact that people were going to inevitably point out the crystal clear obvious, that it is in fact, your fault.

That somehow negates the fact that it is again, your fault.

You have no idea how often I saw people pretending they want to trade Tal Rasha's Armor and then replaced it with crappy Rattlecage in the final trade :D

Ripping people off in online games is a pretty wide topic.

I think the main difference to real-life is that the ripped-off player does not really loose any values - this is like a teaching-lesson: If you do not know the economy, you should not really trade or expect people to be fair to you.

However if there is a trick used to trade, it is a totally different object and the basic agreements of the trade are violated.

This would not be the case in the first scenario, where one player has no clue about the currencies!

In real life, both ways of making profit are unethical.

It is a game-world and wraeclast does not seem to be the place, where one exile takes the time and gives fair prices even if he could get more! As an alter ego one can be brutal, unfair, nasty and evil - but please do not take this to real life ;D
