Hi i would like to ask, it is better to use conductivity blasphemy instead of wrath?
Forgotten time, be reborn!
Why witch instead of ranger?

Spoiler
I just hope it's not just because of reflect immunity

(I just started playing PoE, so I still have limited knowledge.)

I'm interested in playing your build, but I wanted to know the same question. Why Witch instead or Ranger?

I'm no expert, but I'm assuming that he does not select Ranger for a variety of reasons such as;
1) Not reflect immune (you guys are undervaluing how important this is)
2) Way too many wasted skill points getting out of Ranger tree (minimum 3 wasted and 1 subpar)
3) Lack of an extra minion to distract enemies (and the 100% increased minion buff)
4) Movement speed in Raider ascendency is mostly wasted bc we move with twirling blades
5) Less elemental penetration, resistance, and damage on ascendency (might even out due to increased attack speed/frenzies but doubt it)

All that said, I'm wondering if a very tanky version of this could be made starting from shadow/trickster node while focusing on ER/ES gear... hmm..
I like Elementalist because HOWA builds don't really get a huge amount of increased modifiers because we're stacking int (flat damage)

Elementalist gives 40% from the mini nodes, 8% attack speed and 12% all res ( super good for HOWA)

Thats only from the small nodes.

Liege of Primordial (free accuracy from ice golem) makes us have to rely on less accuracy from gear and is a good DPS boost. Ability to use 2 Golems is great, Lightning Golem gives us flat damage buff aura as well.

40% increased damage from Lightning Golem thanks to Liege and 18-20% Increased Attack speed because of 100% golem buffs.

Meaning we're already getting like 28% attack speed and 80% Elemental damage in total so far.

Mastermind = more than 25% more damage against bosses and is super easy to proc.

Pendulum of Destruction - 100% increased and AOE, not reliable but it's 29% uptime and it's def noticeable in maps. I like it a lot in reduced AOE maps especially since I get both aoe clusters already where rangers do not.

Paragon of Calamity - enables me to do reflect maps and increased survivability to elemental damage which is the NUMBER ONE END GAME KILLER, basically it makes things like corpse explosion (multiple hits) or map mods with +% elemental damage or even Bearers less of a threat. Also another 40% increased damage modifier. - This is superrrrrrrrr defensive that people just don't see. Rolling maps with double or triple Added Elemental damage is less scary because of this.

If your build has less than 400% increased damage modifiers (and I'm sure it does) - then the 80% increased is already a 20% more damage (relatively speaking) - not to mention the attack speed of course.

Because we get a lot of AoE as well, we don't need the blade flurry Enchant or Blade Flurry Increased damage enchant (since it's increased) - so I opted to buy the Lightning Golem Effect enchantment for 14%/15% increased attack speed (scales with Whirling Blades and Blade Flurry)

Compared to raider I personally feel that the small nodes aren't that great... even with Frenzy Charges being OP. You literally get nothing, Evasion Rating/Movement Speed/more Evasion is really really bad. and I don't even think phasing is that good since we WB everywhere

Nice response above. I have a similar question, however more in regard to the passive tree.

I'm currently making this build, but I'm a fan of efficiency. I have a hard time getting behind the very long trek through Scion into the Duelist tree for life leech. I personally believe there is quite a bit of wasted passives there, but I also admit I may not be understanding it completely.

Don't get me wrong, I value life leech, but here is something I'd like you to look at and comment on.

Just a note on this tree, I forgot to take Unnatural Calm here, but be sure I have it :)

Rather than treking through the Scion into the Duelist area, I just stayed on course into the Shadow area, targeting Soul Raker and Claws of the Pride to make up for the life leech. Now, I admit, comparing the guides tree to this there is a little less Life Leech, but I believe that to be manageable. I also don't know how the added physical damage would affect the build, if it matters much at all.
*Edit* There is even reasonable application for using Blood Drinker area with a Energy From Within, also providing a little extra leech.

I feel there is less wasted points, and a bit more efficiency point for point.

Thoughts against?

Thanks for the build guide, love it. Just did my first ever guardian kill (Minotaur), it wasn't deathless as i went blind into the fight. Gear is not perfect but loving the clear speed. I was warchief with Tukohama's shield (very strong, however you relied on the totems) and this build is all about you.

Great guide now for some lucky drops and see if i get the other guardian maps.

I assume the reason against is that we don't do much phys damage. It's phys damage leech vs pure attack damage leech.
what about getting the 2 lab ladder jewels that give intteligence to expensive or are rares better ?

It's pure attack damage leech rather than phys damage leech. HoWA does almost no phys damage, so the phys leech is pretty much useless. Also, going down toward Duelist lets you get efficient use out of Fertile Mind for a lot of extra Int at minimal point investment.
