There's 'that guy' who owns all the headhunters, legacys, demigods, etc. Which is fine, but he's a scamy pesty barstard. Offering 3c to 10c he'll put up for 300ex. Swapping accounts and names to pester you from differnt people over the next days. Tho, actually. I'm pretty freakin fine with the 'unfair, life is unfair' side. It's the clunkyness and having to deal with it. It's feudal. Maybe poe.trade and 3rd party websites are bronze age... Whatever, at the end of the day, it's sooo time wasting, rage gaining, unfun bullshit. yeah, acutally having afk and DND work would be a HUGE step. X-Instance trade, also SOO huge! Shit, even if you turned off your 'trade tabs' when you left a league, and they actually turned off, that'd save me feeling like a Ahole for not trading/swapping leagues, or getting mad when I do and the guy fucks me around for 5mins when I'm mid map. Anyway, I'm soo not wanting a nanny state, crazy AH setup. I just want SOME tools, so I don't have to drop what I'm doing mid map to go off to some other league. Same for buying. It shouldn't be 'very lucky' to find someone actually online who says they online, and will actually talk/trade. I mean, holy shit, how GGGenius would it be to have a 'Trade & Chat' mobile phone app, like 'a few other games' so I can trade while out N about, or have it next to me while I'm maping... Its actually close to being that simple. If you are searching for a common or cheap filler item its understandable that it might not be worth someone's time to stop what they are doing. For example a lot of builds are momentum based and if they leave they lose frenzy charges, slower to get vaal haste back up, in a zana mission or map trial, really any number of reasons why someone won't just stop what they are doing to trade you. In terms of when is best to trade, I don't know what time zone you are in. Considering the nature of a global realm it really shouldn't matter to largely when you have a chance to play, but there will obviously be better peak times scattered throughout the day. Why would you cycle through the forums to get currency? This had to be pre currency.poe.trade, if not that isn't a fault of the system, but of yourself for not using the available resources to you. Furthermore, as already mentioned there are vendor rates you can use if you just need one thing real fast. Currency on vendor is there to somewhat balance the idea around enforcing "fair" ratios on things, its not there to be better then player rates because various things, at least historically were worth more to a player then the default rate. Chromatics are still an example where you can get a better price for them buying from a player then using vendor rates. Its not fair you aren't willing to learn aspects of the game others have or have made tools to help them with? GGG could implement an ingame item affix\roll thing and IIRC they did mention that was something they experimented with, but experienced players will always and forever have an easier time pricing items. Streamers will have even more advantages then experienced players, don't bother worrying about how its "not fair" they get to get free shit or do things you can't. You could always start streaming if you wanted to. Well he doesn't own all of them, there are multiple very rich people on standard, almost all of them have something that is getting mirrored still to this day. Getting in the door and either saving up and buying or making a GG weapon or other piece of gear was going to guarantee profit going forward. Yet this doesn't stop people in standard from getting legacy items, headhunters or demigods, they just might need to pay a bit more now, none of these items are required to enjoy the game. No dude, here's exactly what happened. Well known 'scammer' (as in low baller who scams newbies for mirrors) gets black balled pretty much by the entire community because he's a total scumbag. This is fine, if you want to have PvP interaction where you allow people to rip other people off particularly newbies on highly valuable items they don't know about, then that's ok, as long as you allow the community to enforce their own rules. Every major trader basically black balled same dude, then he goes cries to GGG to get his name changed under false pretenses in order to get unmuted on everyone's mute/ban list.
