Reddit is Going Nuts Over Trade
To sum this up:
"Maaan, its sooo annoying that no one answers my trade requests!" + "When someone offers me anything else than what my item is listed for, I don't even bother replying" Watching the community perpetuating their own complaints in live-vision. Nice. |

" This actually doesn't work in a healthy AH system. Funny you raised this question. Most AAA title games has a limitation and your listing is impossible to cancel ones there's an outstanding bid. You could only pull your items when there's no outstanding bid while forfeiting your initial listing fee. But as long as there's a basic no pull once there's a bid (which many games already do btw in case you think this is some rocket science). So yea smart game companies already regulate their AH house to prevent exactly what shady PoE trades do. Either by hefty non-refundable listing fee or doesn't allow pulling items with outstanding bid. And since PoE doesn't use "money/gold/plat/rubies" as currency just implementing a simple no pull once bid rule will eliminate all current dirty poe trading frauds. But yea I would hate this if I was the one that's pull these type of shit off too. I understand how you feels. The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change. Welcome to PoE. Last edited by Pewzor#2343 on Jun 29, 2016, 9:29:51 AM

Facilitating easier trade improved everything in every society that ever lived.
What is easier trade is maybe debatable, but at least it should be something like : I have these monies, you have that item that you listed for monies, i buy your item, you get monies. Add a TAX to this transaction and you have a balanced trading system that improved lives of millions. Even better yet, dont add a tax and instead of that ADD MORE CONTENT so the gear we get for cheap will let us do content that was impossible to do otherwise. All excuses that GGG or fanboys offer are just that, excuses. Trade always benefits the economy, and easier trade always works better for the consumers. If you are a seller, it works the same way. You do more trades and you actually have to work hard to be successful. Here, you undercut prices and refuse sales so you can trick people to sell for cheap. GGG facilitates this by not giving any rates or mediation of any sort. It has gotten pathetic and stale. Combined with other missteps lately, poe is losing ground fast. I am not going through "This player is afk." anymore. Dont care, dont want it. btw, lab sucks Cheers |

" Yea his analogy is pretty retarded. I agree. The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

" but that's how haggling works? you're supposed to say: whaaat? siiiiiiix? this item is worth more than that!!! ![]() age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" I can see you have some reading comprehension issues, so I'll try to be as simple as possible: 'Hi, I would like to buy your item at the listed price' =/= 'Hi, I would like to buy your item at a much lower price'. Hope that cleared it out for you. @Vio: I know, I just hate haggling and try to avoid ot at least minimize it as much as possible. I honestly prefer not to sell something than to give it to a haggler. You have to be realistic about these things. Logen Ninefingers Last edited by Bars#2689 on Jun 29, 2016, 9:35:17 AM

" of yourse you would have to overprice your items like i do. makes some people furious but also has the nice side effect of people not bothering you too much. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" Nah, I always try to give a fair price. I ignore the lowballers, I try to be civil with the polite ones who are haggling within reason and I'm short and not too friendly with the impolite hagglers. Works for me. You have to be realistic about these things.
