naming and shaming scammers, im very upset.
" Relative to the personal gain from scamming, the personal gain from falsely accusing someone is negligible. Cases of someone or a group wanting to falsely name & shame are so rare (and so minimally harmful given the counterbalance of what other people say and what the accused can say) that it makes more sense to investigate/moderate reports of false accusation rather than try to disallow player-to-player feedback and investigate/moderate every name & shame while letting scammers/deal reneging roam free. When 99.9% of NA/EU commerce is doing it that way (with respect to empowering buyers and sellers with product/service reviews, positive/negative feedback, etc.), it's obvious that GGG is doing it wrong (their way is inefficient, ineffective, wasteful, probably even harmful). Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client. Last edited by Vhlad#6794 on Jun 20, 2016, 11:17:44 AM

" so it's like "answer from chris himself" or gtfo? here you are, another concerned user out of 500k+ players who got a "chris response" with a "problem" similar to the one op had. what now ... summoning /u/donald_trump? offline Last edited by cronus#1461 on Jun 20, 2016, 5:51:30 PM

I dunno, this isn't as black and white as people tend to think it is. As per this discussion on reddit
"Welcome to path of exile, where the rules are made up and the mods don't matter." Free to play model = optional support = supporter titles = gamifying purchases = gotta catch em all = $$$$ Last edited by Nasynne#4351 on Jun 20, 2016, 8:11:47 PM

" there is no game support for players providing "services" to other players. although several good suggestions were made in the past regarding this support, ggg won't even discuss the issue beside uttering nonsense threats like "we ban people who scam other players for disrupting the gameplay", leaving players to manage it on a trust basis which essentially says: "get collateral before you give something away or risk getting screwed". age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

Easy fix for GGG to implement-
Make it so that Master rotations are no longer necessary or helpful to anyone. Make the amount of EXP needed to level a master up substantially less and also make it so that only the owner of the daily mission gets master experience for said mission. Problem solved. People can still share wild masters for normal experience gain for everyone involved, but no need to do daily rotations for all of your masters just to level them up at a normal pace. The fact that it's almost necessary (I say almost because you could truly do it yourself, it's just gimping yourself by doing so) to do master rotations to level them up at a decent pace is ludicrous. As for the naming and shaming as it currently stands, it should be allowed because as GGG put it, Wraeclast is an unforgiving place where scammers/professionals are able and willing to take advantage of newbies and those that follow the rules. If this is the stance they are going to take on scamming being allowed in the first place, then the community should be able to police itself. It's not okay to say that Wraeclast is an unforgiving place so if someone takes advantage of you, tough shit, then turn around and say that Wraeclast isn't so unforgiving as to let other players say that you took advantage of them. If one's okay, both should be. My two cents... To all the girls in the red high-heeled shoes,
they took all our money and stole all our boos. They ain't got their cherries, but that's no sin, they still got the box the cherry came in! |

Hey I'm new. live in the sticks and occasionally have power outages, it would not make me a scammer. You need to have everyone in the rota report it with time and players listed like you would a bug report. Does this give you instant gratification? No. Get over it.
