Hey Chris how is that player interaction trading working out? Ow Wait
I will add for people reading the discussion, people leaving their standard shops open does indeed suck. I haven't had to deal with it but I have been the causing end just a few days ago. I don't mind hoping as long as the person can wait the few minutes it will take for me to get to the next waypoint while leveling, grab a few rares to vendor when I leave the map, whatever.
You are going to run into a few people with inaccessible standard shops and GGG's involvement depends: 1) People like me who just need a moment to hop and all is dandy as long as you can wait. 2) People who left the moment the last league was over and came back never turning their old shop off. They may fix that after you make them aware, or they will be lazy. GGG could make shops not public during transferring leagues I would assume. It would take care of the lazy half. 3) People don't want the hassle of turning shops on and off. GGG can't really do anything about this at the moment, you just have to realize that this isn't everybody. Sure they are jerks if they won't hop but that doesn't discredit the people that will go out of their way to get you what you want. Even if GGG gets asynchronous trading, I'm questionable if they will let somebody playing temp confirm a standard trade. It could mess up the system if the trade is being confirmed across leagues. I would also like to add poe.trade seems to me to be having a lot of problems removing items sold long ago lately. I haven't seen it myself but it may just be because of the league additions considering poe.trade is run by one person. "It's all clearer now

bu bu but I like this system of trading. Am I the only one?
For me, it gives the feeling of the "old passion" marketplace. If ya'kno what I mean. |

" I'd be more happy with it if there were more clear cut rules to begin with. Everybody started posting things with buyout and then don't accept haggling in any form. Most of them that I've dealt with refuse to believe that fixed price is more appropriate for that transaction. Note this was about a year or more ago. It just seems one sided from my view, I will let things slide as long as they are discussed beforehand because I'm not too bent on getting perfect asking price, yet when I am the buyer, it is hard as crap to find similar people selling. I stopped bothering to try to haggle for my own purchases a good number of months ago. Haggling gives it an old marketplace feel, I can't say this is the same. It would be like somebody putting a tent out with items on display and priced and when you try to buy something a guard comes over and says "You cannot purchase any of these items until the owner returns in 3 months." " Uhmm no lol. If they hopped over for every single request they got from a player in a different league, they wouldn't even be able to enjoy their current league. If you play in a currently "unpopular" league due to other events going on, then you shoudl have some idea trading will be harder for you. *rolls eyes* fuck me.. I play PoE and I have no idea what I'm doing durrr.. look at me everyone. Good grief, kind of people that need to be told what to think. |

" It is kind of stupid to keep your shop open if that is the case. If you didn't intend on selling anything in your "standard" storefront today then why leave the door unlocked. lights on and cash register stocked to go? That's why I am willing to hop. " Okay smart guy, you tell me how to turn off 70+ tabs quickly while still wanting to play the new league? And that's just me, what about others who have more? But wait, guess what.. you have to turn all those tabs on again when you get back to your previous league. Oh yeah, so fun. |

" Why the hell do you have that many sale tabs? My immediate guess is that you have massive stock of old remove only tabs that you aren't willing to sort through and actually decide if its worth selling or vendoring. I mean, damn. And that still doesn't make my point any worse off. If you want to leave your store lights on and door unlocked during regular business hours, don't get pissed off when I keep ringing the service bell. Your store may be incredibly backlogged but that isn't the buyer's fault. Maybe 70+ trade tabs is too many to manage properly.
