Why do people who play HC pay other people to kill bosses for them? Why are you even playing HC if you want to cheese it by having some over-leveled and over-geared player fight the fights that pose the most risk? If you are afraid to lose your character, why are you in hardcore? Just to say you play hardcore?
I see this all day long in global when I am on my HC chars...makes me laugh.
When you level 50+chars to lv 85+ in hc,you will understand.
I already have. I know how tedious it is. But I also know that is the nature of hardcore. Any mis step could be your last. Thats the nature of it. Thats why I have adopted the mentality of a handful of builds to try in a new league, and then I move back to softcore/standard.

I have been playing hardcore since my very first character and it has nothing to do with "being hardcore" or trying to prove something.
It is solely due to the adrenaline rush you get from a close call that you'd never feel if you only risk losing 10% experience instead of your entire character.
So you play HC for the adrenaline rush but pay someone to fight the boss so that you can skip the adrenaline rush.
You pay 2c to skip a tedious area of zones to get into the actual interesting content. If you die at 90+ getting back to the previous point is nothing but a matter of time resulting in loss of currency gained potential (first week of the league prices etc) and all that good stuff.
2-3 hours for act four twice equals out to 5 hours total saved in that process, for those of us who aren't big boy streamers that can get rushed thats quite a lot of time to be able to put into reprogresion.
If you think the quests in the campaign of the game are the interesting portions of playing hardcore you are a bit mistaken.
Mapping isn't THAT interesting. Its honestly the same sort of crap that you do while leveling. You're in a zone, killing things, with a boss at the end. Theres not some magical system or feature to mapping that isn't found in "campaign mode", aside from adding different mods to the map. Thats it.

Mapping is interesting because you can actually get usable items from time to time. While leveling, all drops feel irrelevant - unless it's your first character in a new league.
You have to be realistic about these things.

I pay for act 4 Kaom - Daresso - Piety - Malachai rush in softcore too. I despise these areas. I also pay for Labyrinth runs as Izaro is overtuned, especially for less tanky builds. Not going to wait and overlevel the lab by ten or fifteen levels if I can get the ascendancy bonus now. I hope that provides a sufficient answer to your questions.
That's full blown weeniecore there. Stop pretending and get in standard league where you belong.

I honestly think its less that people want to shorten the length of time for leveling and more because they are afraid to lose their HC character. Which again begs the question: Why play HC if you are afraid to lose your character?
And if all you care about is mapping, just play Standard. You have TONS of stuff sitting in your stash from previous playthroughs and leagues that make it so easy to level...you can get to mapping without worry of dying and losing anything.
Nah,ppl paying rushes beacuse they want to shorten leveling time as much as they can, nobody is afraid of losing his char lv 47 char with no gear in story mod,it's too easy unless you're new player.Whn my char dies my goal is to be in endgame maps in 24 hours again and i will do everything i can to shorthen that process.
Your second point, just play standard, well, standard is not appealing to many ppl beacuse most of ppl have everything in standard, thats why ppl play temp leaugues, ppl like fresh start and upgrading char in new leaugue little by little.Playing mode where you can die unlimited times is also not the thing for many, last sc leaugue i played was 1m sc year ago for blue armor set,i bassicly rushed from lv1 to lv 90 in tabula, not capped resists, shitload of dmg nods, jut rush rush dps dps, beacuse what can happen to me,i am playing in god immortal mode and that was very boring for me,but hey, everybody has choice and can play w/e is most fun to them. Also building map pool, fresh economy, trading and all good stuff.I use standard as testing ground, every now and then,i come back to standard to try some crazy builds i had in mind,to see will it work in HC.

It's pretty straightforward:
People play hardcore for a lot of reasons. Wanting to start over on death isn't the majority reason.
Being able to claim "I play hard core" and liking the idea of permanent loss (but not the actual risk of it happening), are among the actual reasons people play HC.

I play hardcore occasionally and pay for boss kills here and there. You can pay 1c to get through act 4 in 5min. Or you can do it yourself in 1hour. Some people don't care for levelling and the epeen some people seem to get from killing easy bosses. They just want to move on.

Paid for act 4 rushes after the first time doing them for myself because its a faster move to get to maps again on another character.
We pay for convenience all the time in real life, how is paying for a convenience in a game any different?
How is PoE different to real life?
You really are asking that?
Convenience doesn't change whether in games vs real life, of course I know there's a difference between a game and real life.
Are you really missing this point?
Time is valuable, if there's a method to avoid 2-3 hours and instead are able to get it done in ten minutes why would you not take it?
Feel free to nitpick this post as well.
Because the game IS a pastime.
Casually casual.
