It is seriously annoying that helmet enchantment is skill specific... Can't it be something more generalize?
Yeah, as it is now getting the right helm enchant is really frustrating!
Hope they'll come up with a different system with a bit less RNG to it ...

so, lets make gear less random too.
i want to play selffound lowlife coc! make shavronnes drop around like dirt, cadiro not enough, cause it's still too hard to find right one. i also want +1 curse amu to be crafted with less effort, not retarded 1 in 200.

but you dont play selffound. and you dont craft +1 amys by yourself. and still want to get enchant by yourself, instead of buying what you need and selling what you dont, as you do about any other aspect of game. because thats how the game works, i get shavronnes, you got kaoms. i need kaoms you need shavronnes. you dont go to docks and grind for shav, you sell kaom and buy shavs.

I would prefer increase difficulty of the labyrinth in exchange of better chance getting something i want.

Lets face it, 68 lab poses no threat to 85+ chars unless you are completely useless tool. Lab run takes 5-6 minutes unless you are super fast and focused on every run? Took me roughly 10 hours of running to get my Blade Vortex dmg (i was aiming for AoE, but well, too much RNG).

Rewards from lab runs
¬ 150 fusings
¬ 70 chaos
¬ 100 alchs
1 divine
0 exalts
Couple uniques i flipped for 2-3 ex in total (Lightning coil, Rat's nest, that Blasphemy helm, etc)
XP - like non existing at 85+

I am not sure what is planned with those datamined lvl 75 enchants, but i would like to see that content soon. After getting my TP, i hardly find any motivation to continue to play Perandus league.

I'm completely with you. The lab is a piece of junk and a HUGE time eater and there is no fun involved doing these runs BUT the rewards can be great. I'm really happy that my chars have their enchants since about a week and I don't have to run a single lab ever again but on the other hand I don't want to miss this enchant on my aegis blocker:

It really feels pointless but in the end I think it is not.

The whole point of helm enchantments is to be specific and powerful, 2 additional split arrows is just that. It isn't suppose to be something you get quickly or easily if you can't be bothered to run the lab you don't gain the benefit. Look at 2 additional split arrows, that requires many other things instead of you aren't getting it on the helm, a +1 quiver, a +1 bow or a level 23 split arrow to get an additional one, helm is by far the easiest way out of all of those to get it, especially because you can buy 1 item instead of many other ones to achieve the same thing.


Gloves and boots are rather generic, I don't understand why anyone would want them all generic, that is just boring and doesn't give any longer term goals.

Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF.
Its not unrewarding. Its just unrewarding if you go about it the wrong way.
Its actually one of the most rewarding things GGG has ever implemented tbh.
Its a currency printing machine if you go about it the correct way.

Instead of trying to enchant your helmet with something YOU need, just enchant other good helmets that are sitting in your stash, or even buy reasonably good helmets and go enchant those.
You will probably never get the enchantment YOU need, but thats irrelevant.

A helmet that is otherwise worth only a few chaos, will probably be worth more than twice that amount to the person that needs the particular enchantment you put on it.
In some cases, the created item will be worth significantly more than what it was worth prior to the enchantment, depending on what enchantment you hit.

The lesson to be learned here is that the labyrinth isnt supposed to be used in order to enchant your helmet with something YOU need, it is supposed to be used in order to create useful stuff for other players to trade for.
You can make plenty of currency this way, and in the end you might actually find the helm with the correct enchantment on poe.trade, and since you made quite a lot of currency, you might actually be able to buy it. Everyone wins.

The labyrinth is similar to atziri if you think about it. Atziri is mostly only being run in order to earn currencies, and i would argue that the labyrinth is capable of filling that exact same role.
Atziri works more like a jackpot, while the lab is providing a steady income each run.

Most people dont find atziri runs to be fun, and the lab is similar in that regard.
Running the lab is incredibly boring. But its rewarding nevertheless.
