I am a scammer - Account locked?

Or so you think.

Very true.Only time will tell and if ever support get back to me of course :)
7 hours of scamming? 3.5k hours logged? Maybe they are doing you a favor?
If you do get your account unlocked, would you go back to scamming other players?

Not if scamming causes account locks no :P

A lot of hassle for not enough return.

They probably don't ban players for scamming because it is too much hassel to sort out what happend. In your case, however, you clearly admitted to scamming. My guess is that you just provided them with the proof they needed to ban you without any further investigation.

Did he deserve to get banned? Not really because we were all idiots for allowing ourselves to get scammed. He got banned I guess because it started becoming a big issue which can make the game toxic.

Once you reached Reddit-level man it was game over.

Let's apply this logic to elderly people. Were they "idiots" because they didn't think that, at every single turn in their lives, people were out to cheat them? No.

There is a lot of trade-for-action in this game. I don't do it, personally, but a lot of players do. The only way to avoid being scammed like this would be to avoid trading for anything other than other in-game items in the trade window.

Sure, every now and then, someone will run off with an item, and their dickery would be hard to stop. But yeah, in this case we have a guy who admitted to it and isn't the least bit apologetic about it.

Maybe he deserves the items of all those who insist they were idiots; I don't know. But a lot of people out there just want to play a game. I don't understand making excuses for scamming like this. It's (albeit on a MUCH different level) like excusing violent crime because, well, the girl was dressed a certain way, or the people weren't all wearing bullet proof vests 100% of their lives.

Haha, funny :). Well not realy as it show your short mind :(.

Crim == against the EULA or game-designe in this case!

If GGG says "we want no scam" then you act against their laws == crim!

On the other side killing enemys in Counter Strike is the intended game goal / designe == no crim!

Best example for intended/wanted trade-scam is EvE Online where CCP several times said: "We don't care, be more carefull, part of the game". There scaming is no crim (but still very asotial and I can totaly understand if suddenly someone stands infront of the door of such a scamer and punches his face ... hell, he should have been more carefull *g*).

Use brain before post.

A crim is a crim no matter where or how it happens!

CRIM? CRIME, I guess... A crime is an illegal act, on that we agree. But you're too mentally unstable to understand the following... PoE regulations don't say that Scam is forbidden. 15 pages we talking about the same and you see some representative of GGG saying something about it? They say nothing because GGG loves not give information and leave it all in a gray state.

Again, please go see a neurologist because someone is not mentally healthy to want to penalize actions in a game as if they were real acts.
Bethesda is known for having good ideas and terrible realization of them. GGG is a Bethesda subsidiary or what?

So if GGG support emailed you back saying.

"Sorry for the delay in looking into your account lock. It appears someone tried to log on from another location and the account was locked as a precaution. Jump through these hoops to prove you are the account owner and we'll unlock the account."

It is safe to assume you'd go back to scamming people?
