I am a scammer - Account locked?

Of course I can, otherwise I would have continued to reply in my customary shit-posting fashion.

I can understand there is an emotive response, especially when the situation involves a significant investment of time and/or money.

I can understand the frustration borne of poor communication, whether intended or by circumstance.

I can also base my advice on previous experiences. GGG does not, and will not, discuss account specific information in the public forum spaces. Posters on the forums cannot be taken at face value when disclosing information about issues like this. As such, the forum is bereft of information or evidence to develop balanced and fair opinions.

Without this, there can be no constructive conversation. There can be occasional constructive posts, and possibly some broad and non-specific advice that is sound and useful, and there may even be an opportunity to develop a later discussion from points raised.

But, as it stands, this is just another thread where posters will get shitty and snarky, bashing you, then each other, then costing Support valuable time moderating (which perhaps they could better spend working on yours and similar issues, maybe?).

There is no positive outcome here. There is only frustration, then anger, then obscurity.

Good luck getting your issues solved, for better or worse, but you will find no succour here.

Perhaps anyone else can shine a light on getting locked for scamming - I honestly doubt this would be the case but perhaps I misunderstood the boundaries in which you could do it.

Has there ever been history of bans/locks for just scamming - my feel at the moment is mass reporting of people that disagreed with my methods on Reddit - I certainly was receiving A LOT of hate whispers during that discussion.

Lets not get shitty guys I am happy to accept my fate I just wish i knew what exactly I did wrong.

Not that I support scamming, but GGG should remain constant on their stance.

Just to clarify GGG's stance was 100percent scamming was Ok right? I didnt misunderstand the rules here.

I honestly think this must be a deeper issue - the lack of communication,the timing of the Reddit post,All the people whispering me to GTFO - just somethings up.I just would have loved them to be like look this will take some time please be patient with us rather than brickwall me all together.

I guess we will wait and see - i wanted to know from support if making a new account and linking it to my steam would mess anything up in getting my old one back online but again without communication I just dont know - I wish i was a more patient guy sometimes haha.

I believe you mean worse and I totally can appreciate why you would have that stance.

I actually have nothing against scammers as it's within the rules (not that I ever scammed, got better things to do with my time). It's only the fault of the scammed person, period.

Ehhhh it does indeed suck not to feed my POE addiction :) What is worse is not knowing the issue though.If I have indeed done something permaban worthy (none that i can think of) Im totally ok with making a new account and starting over.Its being in limbo which is frustrating.Yesterday i asked if it was going to be ok to link a new account to steam and if that would effect the process of whatever is happening to my main account.No reply = me stuck in limbo.

There's not much I can do at this point but vent my frustration on the forums and see if anyone else has experience in being locked out for scamming and it being sorted out eventually.

The scary thing for me is the missing toons on my POE profile page - Have they actually deleted everything already without an investigation.Why would they leave just 1 HC toon and 1 SC toon still alive if this was the case?

So many questions :)

At some point you thought that this is an RPG?
Well, a person in real life can be very pleasant, friendly and correct. And the same person within an RPG can be a real shit... A scammer is a person like you or me playing at being "the bad guy". When you sell something at a high price, knowing that the price was high, you also play the same role in a certain way.
It may be distasteful? Of course... He deserves to be punished? If this is not indicated in the rules, NO, by no way.

The poster is an unreliable narrator, we have no idea what he has or hasn't done. We have his post by which to judge his actions, and that is all.

If you're willing to take that at face value, then you're likely to be as naive as the people he alleges to have scammed.

The whole thing is a private matter between the account holder and GGG.
