Izaro - Is he overtuned?
To me it just feels like he has too much health

" I intially thought this, but after running Merciless a few more times it actually seems like there are some *really* tough trap layouts about. It's just luck whether you run in to them or not. I have one with like 5 alternating layers of buzz saws and spikes, with no rest areas in between, and when you got to the end there was still no rest, just a door through to more spikes and buzz saws. I had one area with hidden traps which popped up once you stepped on the wrong platform - you got darted to start with, then those roombas came in at you from both sides. There's lots of other trap combinations too, like darts over a fire floor, or spikes that pop up on 'safe' platforms in the middle of a fire floor. I think the main thing making it 'easy' is that there aren't enough of these crazy trap setups. The best ones are the ones that make you think you'll be safe. Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

He might be overtuned in Normal, but that's it. In Normal you're still going to be early in your build, or often times using a leveling setup because your build hasn't come to fruition yet. (I was Earthquaking because I couldn't do my RF totems yet) In Normal his damage is higher than Malachai despite being earlier in the game, and his ranged spam can be a bit oppressive when you're only level 30. Cruel and Merc are in the perfect spot though.
I hope that when the world comes to an end I can breathe a sigh of relief; because there will be so much to look forward to.

" you dont have to be overleveld. Just make better build or get better gear "Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms." |

The biggest difference between Malachai and Izario is the fact that when I first fought Malachi (and died, many times, I still think he's over powered relative the the rest of game) I could just walk back in the portal and try again.
I could learn a little more from each failure. If I had to redo half of act 4 everytime I died to Malachai I would have quit; as is it took Labyrinth to make me do that. Peace, I'll follow the patch notes to see how GGG decides to save people from quitting in droves. |

Izaro has WAY too much life in normal, too much in cruel, but is fine in merciless.

I keep hearing the same thing: "Izaro is super OP in normal, kinda OP in cruel, but he's fine in merciless."
Having only faced him in normal, my experience is limited. But with the volume of feedback echoing this sentiment, I have to wonder just how much variance there is to him between the three difficulties. I honestly have to question whether or not the intent was to fight him in normal/cruel after playing in merciless. It would seem to explain why he, by all accounts so far, seems to be proportionally more asinine as difficulty decreases. Look, it's flimsy and senseless, but I'm trying to cope, here. It could just be that he gets easier as you have more Ascendancy skills beefing you up. Honestly I won't really know until I face him in Cruel and Merciless myself. I sure as hell hope it's easier, because I do not want to go through the same experience I had on Normal again. This is a buff™

maybe just a little for builds that don't focus on phys resist. but if i can stay out of his teleport aura i'm pretty much fine.
Quoting Saltychipmunk:
...I look at the new act 5 boss where you have to hide behind the statues to survive the bullet hell and all I can think is... how the fuck are zombies going to survive that? They don't know what hiding is... they don't know what dodging is... they are morons. |
