Izaro - Is he overtuned?
Well, at this point, I think Izaro on Normal is pretty good. I still think it's BS to have his zone listed as 33, because he still feels like a post-act-4 boss. But at least I don't have to be halfway through Cruel to beat him. Too bad I can't say the same thing about Cruel Izaro, because he's still way too strong. I gave up and just moved on to Merciless.
So besides still being overtuned on Cruel, and probably Merciless, the mechanics are still awful. Golems, Idols, and Conduits are just asinine. Golems feel like they have as much HP as Izaro himself, and Idols/Conduits are just the biggest pain in the ass I've ever encountered. Any one of these three are disproportionately difficult to keep down, he usually ends up with at least one carrying over. I still have no idea exactly how to keep Idols from carrying over. The conveyance in this fight is awful, trial-and-error with massive iteration cycles. Golem HP needs to go down to a realistic level, Idols need clearer mechanics, and Conduits need a longer, more consistent downtime. This is a buff™

My biggest problem with the lab is that there are no checkpoints, so in case you die you can start from there.
Other then that (for cruel, merciless) less ground effects please at Izaro's final stage and maybe lower his damage/range of his Melee-Arc-attack(looks similar to that of Daresso, but white color). I just recently tried him at lvl 56 (cruel) with a Melee-Sunder-Duelist and it was a pain in the arse , because you have very short dmg-uptimes caused by his massive skill-hits/traps, which makes you constantly kiting/fleeing =fight unnecessary longer. One time i died when he only had about 2 percent HP the second time i got impatient/less carefull and was killed by one of the ground traps. I think i will ignore this ascendency points for now and wait till this fight is more balanced for that level. I mean, i could overlevel this zone and blink through. But why should i? I would like to play the content like its supposed to be , in the right level range and less frustration. BTW: Cruel try:had 2.4 k HP, 27% phys mitigation, resits capped (except cold), dmg with all buffs/procs 12K, 4 endurance charges, leapslam for movement, but slowboating sicne no MS-Boots Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body." Only usable with Ethanol Flasks Last edited by gandhar0#5532 on Apr 5, 2016, 9:59:17 AM

I start by saying that i had no problems at all for normal (did at level 35) and cruel (did at level 58) Izaro but that's probably because as evasion build + enfeeble + acro i get hit once each 5 attacks
Normal Izaro: too easy, i would do an halfway as he's now and how he was before nerf, now it's really too easy and there is no way he can hit you for more than 600 damage, i fear the boss area traps more than him in normal -.- Cruel: fine as it is Merciless: I would nerf him by 10% at the most, it's merciless after all He becomes overpowered if you let him buff himself with golems/charges ecc. but this is right IMO, without any buffs he's way easier than malachai at the give difficulty. for normal and cruel i fear lab traps, not the mobs and Izaro at all Last edited by Mahesys#6567 on Apr 5, 2016, 11:40:13 AM

I think he's overtuned in relation to the rest of the Labyrinth. I can sleepwalk a Lab and still get completely wrecked by him. I'd much rather see a harder Lab as a lead-up to Izaro, but then again GGG has a habit of having insane bosses guarded by easy content. Oh well.

" Honestly for me it is the opposite :P Normal still has a bit too much HP (and exspecially some of the mechanics you have to avoid), Cruel is fine but Merciless is way too easy. I noticed how easy he is if you have some of those incredible leveling armors on like Fox Shade or Viper Scales, that give insane Evasion. However my caster had quite some issues on Normal, a few on Cruel but non on Merciless. My Trapper couldn't even do him he just wasn't that powerful at this point, he was basically using Firestorm and Flame Totem and without Spell Echo it sucked. I switched to Whispering Ice with lvl38 and Spell Echo and he went down fairly easy, the chilled ground helped a lot though and Malachai was even easier. |

" My builds are usually well rounded in damage and survivability, but for example firestorm that you mention literally melts everything in any +1 fire skill wand with faster cast + fire pen alone up to A4C, even all merciless if you use a blasphemy + flammability. With Trap as support imo it loses most of its effectiveness. BTW Izaro was a bit challenging in normal with my first character (Cleave gladiator) pre-nerf, and was very hard in cruel again pre-nerf because i let him absorb 2 golems :) All the other fights with him after nerf in all difficulties were fairly easy, even as CI |

For normal builds probably. Like as in only having a 3L or 4L. Like picking wrong nodes.
Best to powergame him Get a 6L early like tabula to have the DPS Pick all life in tree to have 2000, 4000 and 6000 respectively to have the EHP Max resits. I did him soon as I was able merc at like lvl 62 this way. Easily. Once with boring ass RF totems Once with my Chaosnova Git R Dun! Last edited by Aim_Deep#3474 on Apr 5, 2016, 5:09:25 PM

If someone cant kill unbuffed Izaro then his character and skills in game are crap. He Should learn how to play and upgrade his build, not ask for nerfs.

Izaro is a step in the right direction, mechanics you can deal with and telegraphed skills you can avoid instead of brute gear checks and oneshotfests that lock out most of the players.

I don't have any fancy builds but I can solo the whole game pretty fine. I was breezing through the game and totally hitting a wall with Izaro's 2nd battle, he seems to have crazy dps and speed compared to anything else in that part of the game. :l
