When will Labyrinth be nerfed for non-elite players to get Ascendancy classes?

Guys i dont get why so many people hate the lab?I did it without dying with terrible internet connection and i am not good at doging traps...
I lagged many times in zones with traps and still didnt die,you need to take like 2-3 good trap hits to die. As for the boss i was level 46 i think and killed him in like 1-2 mins.So if you have (1)good build,(2)you are 10-15lv higher than the lab (3)have instant heal flasks and some movement skills it is very easy to do even with bad connection. I didint done the cruel and merc lab yet but i guess the same logic works for them as well so just level up/gear up for the boss take some instant flasks for the traps and you are good to go. |

" Do it on merciless with a self-found character at intended level then come back and say it was easy. While i have not had any big problems with the boss fight (its much easier than normal Atziri). But then I have played the game since closed beta and thus have ok gear and builds. But I can certainly see how a fresh player would basically have no chance at all. The main problem as i see it is not being able to have multiply tries with-out redoing the lab this really hurts the motivation to get it done particularity when you know you have 10+ characters to do it for.And its not like its optional either the nerfs that came with the new patch are almost perfectly matched (in DPS terms)by the ascendency buffs so unless you want a weaker character then you had before, have to do it. I dont think you need to tie the ascendency passive so rigidly to the lab as the enchants you get from it are so strong that it basically ensures the content will never be irrelevant. " What do you consider "intended level"? It's designed as an End Game content, situated around the same difficulty as mid tier maps. So if you think "intednded level" is as soon as you unlock it, you might want to reconsider. At least normally I would be hitting that point around level 62 or so. My first Merc Lab run was at lvl 77, it went smoothly. And yes, I played it self found. The boss is a mechanics based boss, not incredibly difficult, but screwing up the first 2 stages makes the 3rd stage hurt a LOT. BUt then again, I see a lot of complaints about the traps being hard. Seriously, take your time going through, if you are a slow character, take lightning warp. (I breezed through with only 20% move speed) It will let you avoid a lot of traps and take shortcuts. Even if your main movement skill is something else, I highly recommend having it in an off weapon set or something. Lightning Warp and Blink Arrow are great assets. |

" Just because the zone is level 68, doesn't mean you're supposed to do it at similar level. Look at maps as an example. That's just the level of the zone and scaling applied to the monsters in there, it's intended to gauge the level of power enemies have in there, not at what level your character is supposed to do it. The difficulty might be a slight nerf, but it's only part of a bigger issue.
I've run it three times, and only just now did I find out there are "mechanics", as if this arpg is an mmo. There's nothing in-game to clue you in to that fact, except repeated trial & death. Unfortunately, each time the entire instance resets, and you have to run through it all over again. MMOs have boss fights with mechanics. Death happens a lot in the process of learning the mechanics. But the (best) MMOs don't punish you with 30-120 minutes of repeat trash after each boss failure; at best, you suffer through 60 seconds of corpse running. That's acceptable. This requirement to repeat the whole instance after each boss death is not acceptable. If learning mechanics is going to be required for this arpg--and I think it's a cool idea, frankly--then there needs to be a less punishing way for that to be accomplished. Portals, waypoints, or other shortcuts need to be in-place to avoid repeating the trash. Then, go nuts with whatever crazy mechanics you want. There'll always over-gearing & over-leveling available to those who don't want to play that way. GGG is gating this content behind artificially high difficulty plus time sinks in this "repeat the trash" fashion. This is a disappointing realization. |

I just want to pitch in that yesterday i managed 10 minute runs. Sure you might think that is pretty bad with the awesome layout the lab had yesterday. But i did not use a movement skill, and i was watching unlimited bladeworks instead of paying attention.
0 deaths. Only time i had to pay attention was in the izaro fights, and i killed him with a 5 link. Could have done it with a 4 link as well, my build isnt really made for boss fights. Basically you just quicksilver and run trough the traps. As long as you dont run inside one, and go trough it, you are fine. As long as you run circles around izaro, you are fine. " Actually you know what, ALL games featured mechanics in bossfights. This is not a mmo thing. This goes back as far as the snes, maybe further. At least think as far back as N64 with mario, that something everyone should have played. Pretty much every good games featured unique mechanics in bossfights, because that is what made them fun. People who say lab need to be nerfed need rather to ask:
How I can make my build bette? What I did wrong? How can I improve myslef. Lab isn't hard if you use good tactics "Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms." |

I am also not an elite Player and also died a lot of times in trying the Lab, but i did it with the third or fourth try by learning and improving myself.
I like this game because things like the Lab or Uber-Atziri is always a Challenge. This game would become very boring if everyone would do such things easily. Best example is Diablo3, there is no challenge, play 3 hours, get 100 of drops, and clear every Map easily again and again and again. Thats not fun to play. If i am not successfull i think about my defense and gameplay. |

Apparently, I'm Super Elite now.
